Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

This study will evaluate the effectiveness of culturally competent psychoeducational empowerment sessions in treating suicidal African-American women who are in abusive relationships.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:18 Years to 64 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:FEMALE
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:No
Standard Ages:ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Identifies as an African-American female
  2. * Abusive relationship within the 12 months prior to study entry
  3. * Suicide attempt within the 12 months prior to study entry
  4. * Seeks services at Grady Health System
  1. * Score of less than 22 on Mini Mental Status Exam (MMSE)
  2. * Score of less than 18 on Rapid Estimate of Adult Literacy in Medicine (REALM)
  3. * Acutely psychotic
