Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The purpose of the research is to help understand why some children become carriers of strep and whether children who are carriers need to be treated with antibiotics.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:5 Years to 15 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:No
Standard Ages:CHILD
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Children ages 5-15 years
  2. * Positive rapid antigen detection test for group A streptococcus
  3. * Parent or legal guardian present and able to provide consent
  4. * Provider prescribes treatment with a beta lactam antibiotic
  5. * English speaking
  1. * Unable to take beta lactam antibiotics
  2. * Other concurrent bacterial infection, i.e., pneumonia
