Strawberry Candy Twists as an Alternative Screen for Gestational Diabetes: A Prospective Trial

Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The goal of this prospective study is to determine whether there is superiority of 10 Twizzlers to the 50 gram glucola beverage for screening for GDM in a population based study.

Standard Ages:ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Pregnant
  2. * 24 to 28 weeks gestation
  3. * Singleton or twin or triplet gestation
  4. * Willing to participate in the study
  1. * Known Type II DM
  2. * Known Type I DM
  3. * On oral or injectable corticosteroids
  4. * 50 gram glucola beverage GCT of greater than or equal to 190 mg/dl
