Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:4 Years to 12 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:No
Standard Ages:CHILD
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Sustained a fracture in their arm/leg
  2. * No previous experience with a cast removal
  3. * Must have at least one wrist free of immobilization (for heart rate monitor)
  4. * Parents and patient are English speaking
  1. * Patients with a history of epilepsy, ventricular shunt, motion sickness
  2. * Patients with any history of cognitive, visual or hearing impairment
