Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

This study will focus on developing and testing a family-based mental health navigator intervention, the Family Mental Health Navigator (FMHN), to evaluate whether the intervention combined with mHealth is preliminary efficacious in improving mental health service initiation and engagement for publicly-insured youth.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:6 Years to 17 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:Yes
Standard Ages:CHILD
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * English-speaking and/or Spanish-speaking youth
  2. * Ages 6-17
  3. * Are currently receiving services at the San Francisco General Hospital
  4. * Are publicly insured
  5. * Have an involved caregiver/legal guardian for consent
  6. * Family has mobile phone access
  1. * Youth is not English-speaking nor Spanish-speaking
  2. * Caregiver has impairment that would preclude providing informed consent
  3. * Unavailable guardian for consent
