Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

This is a randomized placebo-controlled trial of cognitive training with transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) for children and adolescents (ages 8 - 17 years) with prenatal alcohol exposure (PAE).

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:8 Years to 17 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:No
Standard Ages:CHILD
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Documented heavy prenatal alcohol exposure (self-report, social service records, or adoption records) and meeting criteria for an associated FASD diagnosis (FAS, partial FAS, or ARND).
  2. * An available parent or legal guardian capable of giving informed consent
  1. * Substance abuse in the participant
  2. * Neurological condition or other developmental disorder
  3. * Serious psychiatric disorder known to affect brain functioning and cognitive performance Birthweight \< 1500 grams
  4. * MRI contraindication
  5. * tDCS contraindication
