Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The study is a randomized trial comparing outcomes of active duty service members who present to the emergency department at risk for suicide and receive care from providers trained in crisis response planning versus those providing treatment as usual.

Participation Criteria

Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Active duty service members
  2. * \>18 years old
  3. * Present to the emergency department at NMCSD with a primary concern related to suicidal ideation, plan, intention, or attempt, or are assessed as being at elevated risk of suicidal behavior
  4. * Able to understand and speak English
  5. * Able to provide consent
  1. * Unable to provide informed consent due to impaired mental status (e.g., acute intoxication, psychosis, mania, altered consciousness)
