Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The purpose of this study is to examine the role of a Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) examination in identifying participants diagnosed with concussion who display a directional preference compared to who don't display a directional preference.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:13 Years to 65 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:No
Standard Ages:CHILD, ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Age = 13 - 65
  2. * Complaints of neck pain, headache, or dizziness associated with a diagnosis of concussion or mild TBI
  3. * Ability to read/write English
  4. * Referral from physician
  1. * Age less than 13 or greater than 65
  2. * Cause of symptoms is result of a work-related accident or motor vehicle accident
  3. * Receiving concurrent treatment from a chiropractor or massage therapist
  4. * Glasgow Coma Scale less than 12
  5. * Lesion on head CT/MRI
  6. * Focal neurological deficits associated with serious spinal pathology (fracture, infection, tumor, vertebrobasilar insufficiency)
  7. * Inability to or unwilling to exercise as part of usual PT care
  8. * Unable to read/write English
  9. * History of osteopenia/osteoporosis or cancer
