Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

This pilot study aims to compare the ability of a higher oscillatory index device versus a lower oscillatory index device on airway secretion clearance and other clinically significant outcomes.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:18 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:No
Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Adults 18 years or older
  2. * Respiratory assess and treat (RAAT) score of at least 10 and a secretion score of at least 5 post extubation or within first 48 hours of ICU admission
  1. * Younger than 18 years of age
  2. * Pregnant
  3. * Slow vital capacity (SVC) of \<10 mL/kg
  4. * Unable to follow instructions
  5. * Currently receiving cough assist, vest therapy or intrapulmonary percussive ventilation
  6. * Received more than 1 therapy session using oscillatory index device
  7. * Multiple ICU admission with previous study enrollment
