Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

Participants are being asked to participate in this research study because they have elected to undergo periacetabular osteotomy (PAO). This research study is looking at if using IV magnesium during surgery can help to reduce pain after surgery.

Participation Criteria

Standard Ages:CHILD, ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Patients undergoing periacetabular osteotomy with or without adjuvant hip arthroscopy
  1. * illiterate or non-English speaking patients
  2. * patients with 2nd or 3rd degree AV block
  3. * patients with severe renal insufficiency
  4. * patients with heart failure
  5. * patients with bradycardia
