Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

This research is being done to find if there are changes with voice and speech during episodes of mania.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:18 Years to 65 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:No
Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Provision of informed consent before any study procedures are performed
  2. * English speaker
  3. * Documented clinical diagnosis for Bipolar I Disorder
  4. * Undergoing hospitalization, or boarding in the Emergency Department, for mania as determined by primary clinical staff
  1. * Positive urine drug screen for amphetamines or cocaine.
  2. * Expressing paranoid delusions regarding electronic surveillance.
  3. * Documented clinical diagnosis of developmental delay.
  4. * Currently involuntarily hospitalized.
  5. * Deemed at risk for aggression.
  6. * Failure to comprehend study objectives via comprehension questionnaire.
  7. * Individuals who have a guardian and are unable to consent for themselves.
  8. * Current communicable disease requiring isolation.
