Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

This study will consist of a randomized, double-blind, sham-controlled clinical trial at SUNY Upstate Medical University and Mt. Sinai Medical Center with 80 autistic children evaluating the effects of transcranial photobiomodulation (tPBM) on multiple clinically validated scales.

Participation Criteria

Standard Ages:CHILD
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Ages 2 - 8
  2. * Autism spectrum disorder diagnosis
  3. * CARS-2 score of 30 - 45
  1. * CARS scores less than 30 or over 45.
  2. * Taking psychotropic medications.
  3. * Having skin lesions on scalp
  4. * Having history of seizures
  5. * Having history of abnormal EEG
  6. * Being a relative of the PI or a researcher
  7. * Having implanted devices (including cochlear implants).
