Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. 1. Male or female outpatients 18 years of age or older
  2. 2. Patients must be able to communicate meaningfully with the investigator and must be legally competent to provide written informed consent.
  3. 3. DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders fifth edition) criteria for opioid use disorder
  4. 4. ability to access KIOS via smartphone or tablet
  5. 5. Recently (less than 6 months) enrolled in and currently participating in MAT at a Be Well Texas (UT Health San Antonio) participating clinic
  1. 1. Unwilling or unable to comply with study requirements
  2. 2. psychiatric or medical disorder interfering with ability to use the app
  3. 3. incarceration
