Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Ages Eligible for Study:45 Years to 64 Years
Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL
Accepts Healthy Volunteers:No
Standard Ages:ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Ages 45-64
  2. * Eligible for colorectal cancer (CRC) screening
  3. * Current patients (seen in the clinic in the last 6 months)
  4. * Primary speaker of English or Spanish
  5. * Cell phone listed in Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  6. * No recent history of CRC screening
  7. * Resides in one of the neighborhoods included in the main trial
  1. * Colorectal disease (e.g., ulcerative colitis or colectomy)
  2. * Personal history of colorectal cancer
  3. * End-stage or life-threatening diseases
  4. * Known to be under hospice care
  5. * Living in a skilled nursing facility
  6. * Patients who decline research participation will be removed from the patient contact list
