Using a mHealth App to Improve Quality-of-Life Outcomes in Black Prostate Cancer Survivors

Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The goal of this clinical trial is to ensure that the mobile health application for Black patients with prostate cancer (either actively undergoing treatment or survivors) is usable and acceptable to patients, get feedback about how to improve the app and assess its usefulness in examining their quality of life.

Participation Criteria

Standard Ages:ADULT, OLDER_ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. Age 18 years or older
  2. Willing and able to provide informed consent
  3. Able to understand and follow study procedures
  4. Stable medical condition
  1. * Men from other races.
  2. * Men who have never been diagnosed with CaP
  3. * Men who have the inability to speak English
  4. * Men who do not own a smartphone
  5. * Black CaP survivors who are over 5 years since the time of diagnosis
