Assessing Dynamic Reading Behaviors Using Eye-Tracking Tobii Glasses

New York · New York, NY

HYPOTHESIS: 1. Horizontal convergence tracked with Tobii glasses is a reliable substitute for accommodation in young myopes and hyperopes with normal accommodative amplitudes 2. Young mypopes and hyperopes demonstrate different reading behaviors during near work AIMS \& OBJECTIVES: 1. Compare the accommodative responses measured with the Grand Seiko open-field autorefractor to those derived from the Tobii Glasses, when subjects wear (1) spectacle glasses, (2) single vision contact lenses (SVCLs), and (3) multifocal contact lenses (MFCLs). 2. Investigate subjects' natural and dynamic accommodative behaviors and eye postures during reading using the Tobii Glasses. 3. Compare the change in natural and dynamic accommodative behaviors and eye postures during reading between myopes and hyperopes using the Tobii Glasses.

Quality of Life in Presbyopic Patients Who Are Treated With Qlosi

Minnesota · Tennessee

The goal of this clinical trial is to determine how Qlosi™ (pilocarpine HCL ophthalmic solution) 0.4%impacts the quality of life of participants with presbyopia by using a battery of validated and investigator-developed instruments * Improvement in presbyopic symptoms as measured with the Near Activity Visual Questionnaire-Presbyopia (NAVQ-P) when using Qlosi™ at week 4 compared to baseline (continuous variable). * Improvement in presbyopic symptoms as measured with the Visual Quality of Life with Time Survey (VisQualT) questionnaire when using Qlosi™ at week 4 compared to baseline.

Dichoptic Treatment for Amblyopia in Children 8 to 12 Years of Age

Alabama · Birmingham, AL

Participants eligible for the study will be randomly allocated (1:1:1) to receive either Luminopia dichoptic treatment while wearing optical correction if needed, Vivid Vision dichoptic treatment while wearing optical correction if needed, or continued optical correction alone if needed, with clinical assessments at 9- and 18-weeks post-randomization. At the 18-week primary outcome visit, participants who were randomly assigned to receive optical correction alone if needed with an IOD of 1 logMAR line (5 letters) or more, will be offered randomization to Luminopia or Vivid Vision dichoptic therapy and if they accept, followed forward with visits at 27- and 36-weeks post-randomization. The study will end for all other participants at 18 weeks.

Mirragen Diabetic Foot Ulcer Study

Texas · San Antonio, TX

This study is being done to collect data from treatment of patients who have diabetes with non-healing foot wounds and are being treated with a resorbable and biocompatible borate-based bioactive glass fiber matrix. A borate-based bioactive glass fiber matrix is used to cover the ulcer for wound management. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the borate-based bioactive glass fiber matrix in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers in a real-world setting. The secondary objective is to evaluate the clinical and financial benefits in terms of quality of healing, pain, and treatment cost.
