The purpose of this pivotal study is to determine if intravenous Rezafungin is efficacious and safe in the prevention of invasive fungal diseases when compared to the standard antimicrobial regimen.
This study aims to estimate the pharmacokinetics (PK) of posaconazole (POS, MK-5592) intravenous (IV) and powder for oral suspension (PFS) formulations in pediatric participants \<2 years of age with invasive fungal infection (IFI).
This study will establish a non-invasive diagnostic approach and evaluate clinical outcomes for children at high-risk for pulmonary invasive fungal infection (PIFI).
In this study, the investigators will assess the hypothesis that this new positron emission tomography (PET) radiopharmaceutical, 18F-Fluorodeoxysorbitol (18F-FDS), will specifically localize at sites of Gram-negative bacterial due to Enterobacterales and invasive mold infections (e.g. invasive aspergillosis/mucormycosis).
The purpose of this study is to compare treatment with olorofim versus treatment with AmBisome® followed by standard of care (SOC) in patients with IFD caused by proven IA or probable lower respiratory tract disease Aspergillus species (invasive aspergillosis, IA).
