13 Clinical Trials for Various Conditions
Patients diagnosed with pancreatic cancer without clinically detectable metastatic disease will be treated with standardized systemic chemotherapy, followed by chemoradiation, and then surgical resection for those with resectable or borderline resectable disease. The primary endpoint is disease-free survival at 1 yr from initiation of treatment.
This phase II trial studies how well bevacizumab given with capecitabine and oxaliplatin work in treating participants with small bowel or ampulla of Vater adenocarcinoma that has spread to other places in the body. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Drugs using in chemotherapy, such as capecitabine and oxaliplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving bevacizumab, capecitabine, and oxaliplatin may work better in treating participants with small intestinal or ampulla of Vater adenocarcinoma.
This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of ADH-1 when given together with gemcitabine hydrochloride and cisplatin in treating patients with pancreatic or biliary tract cancer that has spread from where it started to nearby tissue or lymph nodes (locally advanced) or spread to other parts of the body (metastatic) and cannot be removed by surgery. ADH-1 may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine hydrochloride and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving ADH-1 together with gemcitabine hydrochloride and cisplatin may kill more tumor cells.
This randomized clinical trial studies how well high volume washing of the abdomen works in increasing survival after surgery in patients with pancreatic cancer that can be removed by surgery. High volume washings may remove free floating cancers present after surgery and help prolong survival in patients with pancreatic cancer.
The goal of this clinical research study is to learn if panitumumab can help to control advanced cancer of the small bowel or ampulla of Vater. The safety of this drug will also be studied.
Primary Objective: 1. To determine the objective response rate (complete plus partial) to the combination of capecitabine (Xeloda) and oxaliplatin (Eloxatin) (XELOX) in patients with adenocarcinoma of the small bowel and ampulla of Vater. Secondary objectives include determining the toxicity, time-to-treatment failure, and overall survival rates in patients treated with this combination.
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine hydrochloride and oxaliplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Erlotinib hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving gemcitabine hydrochloride and oxaliplatin together with erlotinib hydrochloride may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of erlotinib hydrochloride when given together with gemcitabine hydrochloride and oxaliplatin in treating patients with advanced biliary tract cancer, pancreatic cancer, duodenal cancer, or ampullary cancer.
This phase I/II trial studies the side effects of genetic analysis-guided dosing of paclitaxel albumin-stabilized nanoparticle formulation, fluorouracil, leucovorin calcium, and irinotecan hydrochloride (FOLFIRABRAX) in treating patients with gastrointestinal cancer that has spread to other parts of the body and usually cannot be cured or controlled with treatment. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel albumin-stabilized nanoparticle formulation, fluorouracil, leucovorin calcium, and irinotecan hydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Genetic analysis may help doctors determine what dose of irinotecan hydrochloride patients can tolerate.
The purpose of this study is to determine if gastric/esophageal, lung, pancreatic, bladder and sarcoma patients show benefit from brivanib treatment. Patients who clearly do, stay on treatment. Those in which it is unclear will be randomized to continue or withdraw treatment to determine whether that benefit is related to brivanib

NuTide:121 compares NUC-1031 with gemcitabine, both in combination with cisplatin, in patients with previously untreated advanced biliary tract cancer.
