Study of ABX-002 for the Adjunctive Treatment of Major Depressive Disorder (AMPLIFY)
Description

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if ABX-002 added to an existing antidepressant treatment will benefit depression symptoms in adults with moderate to severe major depressive disorder who have had an inadequate response to their antidepressant. This is a double-blind, placebo-controlled, 2-arm, parallel-group, Phase 2 study, randomized 1:1 (ABX-002: placebo). The study will include the following stages: 1. Screening, Treatment, and Follow-Up ; approximately 35 days 2. 42-day Treatment Period 3. 2-week post dose Safety Follow-up Period

Description

This is an outpatient, 2-arm, Phase 3, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to assess the efficacy and safety of REL-1017 once daily (QD) as an adjunctive treatment of Major Depressive Disorder. Study participants will continue to take their current antidepressant therapy in addition to the study drug or placebo for the duration of the treatment period.

Description

The current study will evaluate the antidepressant effect of CERC-301 during 28 days of treatment in subjects with MDD who are currently experiencing a severe depressive episode despite stable ongoing treatment with selective serotonin- or serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SSRI or SNRI). The study population will be enriched for subjects that would benefit most from rapid onset, those with recent active suicidal ideation, but not a risk to themselves or others and are deemed appropriate for an out-patient study with careful safety surveillance. This will allow the study to focus on the antidepressant effects of CERC-301 but also explore effects on suicidal ideation. To explore rapid onset, the primary endpoint will be at 7 days, but effects over the 28 days of treatment will be examined as a secondary endpoint.

An outpatient study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of cariprazine as adjunct to antidepressant therapy (ADT) in participants with major depressive disorder (MDD) who have an inadequate response to ADT alone. This clinical study compared cariprazine + ADT with placebo + ADT in outpatients with a diagnosis of MDD and an inadequate response to ADT. The study consisted of approximately 2 weeks of screening and washout followed by 8 weeks of double-blind treatment followed by a 1 week safety follow-up.
