This is a double blind active placebo controlled clinical trial for individuals within an inpatient setting with moderate to severe depression. The purpose of this study is to assess if nebulized ketamine can reduce depressive symptoms.

A vast majority (75-85%) of ankle sprain patients treated in emergency departments (ED) receive pain medication and are not referred for physical rehabilitation. Therefore, purpose of this study is to increase access to the standard of care for an ankle sprain by provide patients with physical rehabilitation delivered through telehealth. The purpose of this study includes compare a 2-week telehealth intervention to the usual care for treating 1) subjective function; 2) physical impairments; 3) medication consumption; and 4) patient-perceived barriers. The central hypothesis is participants receiving the 2-week telehealth intervention will 1) have less pain and disability; 2) improve balance and ankle range of motion; 3) consume less medication; and 4) reports positive feedback compared to the usual care group.
This is a single centre, three-arm randomised, double-blind, double-dummy, parallel group, single-dose, active and placebo-controlled efficacy and pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of 2 x 200 mg Ibuprofen Liquid Capsules in subjects with post-operative dental pain.
The purpose of this randomized controlled trial is to determine whether, "ICE-T," a multimodal postoperative pain regimen composed of around the clock ice packs, toradol, and tylenol, has improved pain control compared to the standard narcotic based postoperative pain regimen in patients undergoing total laparoscopic gyn surgery.

Gastroduodenal ulcers are extremely common in the community today. Though much has been written and observed concerning how ulcers form, not much has been described in the human model concerning how these ulcers heal. As numerous patients already suffer from gastrointestinal ulcers, further clarification of ulcer healing would be valuable in the treatment and management of these patients. The goal of this study is to investigate the effects of naproxen, aspirin, celecoxib, and clopidogrel on biopsy-induced gastroduodenal lesions in order to elucidate the mechanisms of ulcer healing. This single site, single-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, one-week prospective study will examine ulcer healing through endoscopic, immunohistologic, and molecular PCR modalities.
The primary objective of this study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of bromfenac ophthalmic solution for treatment of ocular inflammation and pain in subjects who undergo cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation.
The primary objective of this study was to investigate the efficacy of bromfenac sodium ophthalmic solution 0.09% for treatment of post-operative ocular inflammation in subjects who undergo cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation. Inflammation clearly contributes to the progression of the cystic fibrosis (CF) lung disease, and administration of the anti-inflammatory agent high-dose ibuprofen retards the rate of decline of pulmonary function. However, utilization of this valuable drug has been suboptimal because of its rare, but dramatic, adverse effects. Therefore, alternative anti-inflammatory agents are urgently needed. One strategy for identifying new anti-inflammatory agents is to determine the mechanism by which the only proven anti-inflammatory agent for the CF lung disease, high-dose ibuprofen, exerts its effect. If this were known, then other drugs that act by a similar mechanism become candidates for treating the CF inflammatory disease. The investigators have shown, in our preliminary studies, that high dose ibuprofen limits the delivery of neutrophils to an inflamed mucosal surface, the gingival crevices. The investigators plan to test pioglitazone and simvastatin, (ibuprofen (positive control)) to determine their anti inflammatory affects on neutrophil migration to the oral mucosa. The hypothesis to be tested is that pioglitazone, and/or simvastatin will reduce neutrophils in the oral mucosa after 10 days of therapy in mouthwashes of healthy volunteers. Ibuprofen will be used as a positive control. This study will provide pilot data from healthy volunteers to support an FDA Grant to be submitted at a future date.
