5 Clinical Trials for Various Conditions
This study will be a prospective randomized controlled trial comparing cold compression to no intervention immediately prior to and during intrauterine device insertion. Subjects will be randomized to cold compress or no intervention (standard practice in our clinics). Following IUD insertion they will complete a validated pain scale survey regarding their pre-procedure and intra-procedure pain.
Peginterferon-beta-1a (PEG) is an approved treatment for relapsing forms of MS that may cause injection related erythema. This is a randomized controlled cross-over trial of superficial hot and cold modalities to reduce injection site erythema caused by PEG.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a device that delivers cold and intermittent compression as compared to ice and compressive wraps on patients who have undergone knee replacement.
This study will examine the initial efficacy and cost-effectiveness of using the cryocompression therapy model both pre-operatively and post-operatively in patients that have recently suffered a traumatic calcaneus or ankle fracture compared to the standard pre-operative RICE therapy procedures.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare clinical post-operative outcomes for patients using active cooling and compression device and those using ice bags and elastic wrap after acromioplasty or arthroscopic rotator cuff repair.
