3 Clinical Trials for Various Conditions
Many athletes anecdotally report modifying their nutritional intake before competition in order to avoid gut problems, but no studies have evaluated whether emotional state impacts tolerance to pre-exercise feeding. Therefore, this study will use movie clips (stressful, horror, and funny/amusing) to induce different mood states and emotions, which will be followed by ingestion of food before endurance running on a treadmill. In addition, metabolic and physiologic responses to mood induction will be evaluated.
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial to determine the safety and efficacy of Digestive Advantage™ Gas Defense formula, a probiotic dietary supplement. The study will last approximately four weeks, and subjects will be seen at a screening/randomization visit, and two follow-up visits. Study procedures will include administering questionnaires for assessment of the study product's effect on intestinal gas symptoms and quality of life.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the gastrointestinal absorption of nepadutant after single dose as oral solution (and the effect of age on its oral absorption) in infants. Oral absorption is evaluated through the drug recovery in urine.
