4 Clinical Trials for Various Conditions
This randomized phase II trial studies radiation therapy and cisplatin to see how well they work compared with radiation therapy alone in treating patients with endometrial cancer that has come back. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays and other types of radiation to kill tumor cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known whether giving radiation therapy together with cisplatin is more effective than radiation therapy alone in treating patients with endometrial cancer.
This phase II trial studies the side effects and how well trebananib works in treating patients with persistent or recurrent endometrial cancer. Trebananib may stop the growth of endometrial cancer by blocking blood flow to the tumor.
This phase II trial is studying how well medroxyprogesterone works in treating patients with endometrioid adenocarcinoma (cancer) of the uterine corpus (the body of the uterus, not including the cervix). Hormone therapy using medroxyprogesterone may be effective in treating endometrioid cancer.
Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of two combination chemotherapy regimens plus radiation therapy in treating patients who have stage III or stage IV endometrial cancer. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one chemotherapy drug with radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known which combination chemotherapy regimen plus radiation therapy is more effective for endometrial cancer.
