Zimmer Biomet Shoulder Arthroplasty PMCF
Description

The objectives of this study are to confirm the safety, performance, and clinical benefits of Zimmer Biomet Shoulder Arthroplasty Systems and its instrumentation in primary or revision shoulder arthroplasty. These objectives will be assessed using standard scoring systems, radiographic evidence, and adverse event records. Safety of the system will be assessed by monitoring the frequency an incidence of adverse events.

Description

The objective of this retrospective and prospective consecutive series PMCF (Post Market Clinical Follow Up) study is to collect long-term data confirming safety, performance and clinical benefits of the Comprehensive Primary Revision Stems (implants and instrumentation) when used for shoulder arthroplasty at 1, 3, 5, 7 and 10 years.

Description

The objective of this retrospective/prospective enrollment and prospective follow-up consecutive series PMCF study is to collect data confirming safety, performance and clinical benefits of the Comprehensive Primary Micro Stem and Comprehensive Anatomic Versa-Dial Titanium Humeral Heads when used for primary and revision total shoulder arthroplasty (implants and instrumentation) at 1,3,5,7 and 10 years\*. Comprehensive Primary Micro Stem and Comprehensive Anatomic Versa-Dial Titanium Humeral Heads have been on the market since 2007, but have insufficient data to support 10 years of clinical history. Therefore, a prospective aspect to the study will be utilized in order to collect long-term data.

Description

The objective of this retrospective/prospective consecutive series PMCF study is to collect data confirming safety, performance and clinical benefits of the Comprehensive Versa-Dial Reverse Ti Glenosphere when used for primary total shoulder arthroplasty, fractures and revision total shoulder arthroplasty (implants and instrumentation) at a 1,2,3,5,7 and 10-year follow-up\* to meet EU Medical Device and other regulatory requirements for post market surveillance. Because Comprehensive Reverse Ti Glenospheres have only been on the market since 2009, a prospective aspect to the study will be utilized as well in order to collect long-term data.

RSA vs. Nonop for 3 & 4-Part Proximal Humerus Fractures
Description

There is currently no consensus amongst orthopedic specialists on the best way to treat 3- and 4-part proximal humerus fractures. No surgery and surgery with a type of shoulder replacement called a reverse total shoulder arthroplasty are two options that many orthopedists use. This study is being performed to evaluate the differences in short- and long-term pain and functional outcomes between patients who are treated with these two different options.

Early Versus Delayed Rehabilitation After Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty for Proximal Humerus Fracture
Description

Proximal humerus fractures can be a debilitating injury in the elderly, impacting the ability to function independently or complete activities of daily living due to pain and restricted shoulder motion. Evidence has shown that reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (rTSA) is an effective option to improve pain and function for patients with acute displaced proximal humerus fractures. Given that patients undergoing rTSA for proximal humerus fractures typically experience worse functional outcomes, worse patient-reported outcomes, and higher rates of complication compared to those with elective indications for surgical intervention, it is critical to determine a secure path to recovery for these patients after surgery. Early rehabilitation has been proposed to be safe and effective for patients who undergo rTSA for elective indications; however, there is a paucity of research evaluating safety and effectiveness of timing of rehabilitation for rTSA patients in the trauma setting. Currently, there exists a great variability in postoperative rehabilitation protocols across orthopaedic practices. This study's objective is to determine the safety and effectiveness of early postoperative rehabilitation on the outcomes and postoperative complications of patients undergoing rTSA for proximal humerus fractures in order to provide more specific recommendations for this patient population.

Duration of Immobilization After Reverse Total Arthroplasty for Proximal Humerus Fractures
Description

The purpose of this study is to evaluate compare postoperative range of motion in patients who are given a sling for comfort only and allowed to start early active range of motion compared to patients who are placed in a sling for 4 weeks with passive range of motion only. Once enrolled, the patients will be randomized through computer randomization then placed in paper packets into either the immobilization group or the early range of motion group.

Shoulder iD™ Primary Reversed Glenoid Outcomes Clinical Study
Description

The goal of the Shoulder iD™ Primary Reversed Glenoid Outcomes Clinical Study is to collect safety and performance data on the commercially available Shoulder iD™ Primary Reversed Glenoid device. The study will learn about standard device use in adult patients who have a functional deltoid muscle and massive and non-repairable rotator cuff tear. The main questions it aims to answer are: * What is the average improvement in patient-reported shoulder function after 2 years when compared to before the surgery, and * What is the rate of surgical revisions needed over a 10 year period Patients will be asked to will be asked to regularly attend their check-up visits with their surgeon (including having x-rays or CT images taken to check their shoulder and implant), to complete questionnaires to report how their shoulder is doing, and to tell their surgeon when they notice any changes.

This study is an international, single arm, multicenter, prospective follow-up, non-significant risk, Post-Market Clinical Follow-up (PMCF), which is designed to collect safety and performance data on commercially available Perform® Fracture. Data collected from this study will be used for purposes, including but not limited to, PMS, peer-reviewed publications, education materials, future regulatory submissions, and/or product development.

Description

The objective of this study is to collect and evaluate long-term clinical and radiographic outcomes data in order to better understand the safety and performance of the shoulder arthroplasty over time. This study will follow subjects long-term for a minimum of 10-years, without an early-term restriction on the amount of time they will be followed.

SMR Stemless Reverse Vs SMR Reverse Shoulder System
Description

The SMR Stemless Reverse is intended for total, primary shoulder joint replacement by reducing pain and restoring shoulder articular mobility function. This is a prospective, multi-center, randomized, controlled trial to demonstrate non-inferiority of the SMR Stemless Reverse to the SMR Reverse Shoulder System. Patients with joint dysfunction who continue to experience significant symptoms despite an appropriate course of non-operative management are eligible. Patients will be considered enrolled into the study when an ICF has been signed, all inclusion criteria are met and no exclusion criteria are present including intraoperative exclusion criteria, and the patient is randomized into either the SMR Stemless Reverse (investigational) group, the SMR Reverse Shoulder System (control) group or is part of the roll-in population. Enrollment is expected to take approximately 24 months.

A Post-Market Clinical Evaluation of the ReUnion Reversible Fracture (RFX) System
Description

This investigation is a prospective, multi-center clinical investigation. It is anticipated that a total of one hundred (100) subjects will be enrolled at approximately 5-10 sites. The clinical investigation has been designed to follow the surgeon's standard of care for joint arthroplasty patients, which entails clinical evaluation on a regular ongoing basis, or as needed should the patient become symptomatic in the treated joint.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate reverse total shoulder arthroplasty patients preoperative objective measurements and operative objective measurements to determine if there is any effect to postoperative outcomes. Patients who were 18 years old or greater at the time of surgery were followed clinically and radiographically to determine best practice and optimal treatment and technique, risk and rate of complication, and postoperative outcomes.

Liposomal Bupivacaine for Pain Control After Total Shoulder Arthroplasty
Description

This study will compare interscalene nerve block versus liposomal bupivacaine (Exparel) for pain control after total shoulder replacements. Each method will be assessed in terms of post operative pain scores, pain medication consumption, length of stay, complications (nerve injuries, hematomas, cardiac/respiratory events) and rate of readmission due to pain. The aims of this study will be achieved through a randomized controlled trial and cost-effectiveness analysis.

The purpose of this study is to compare infraclavicular brachial plexus shot single shot block to continuous catheter nerve block done in adult patients who have under gone surgery to repair distal radius fractures. Visual analogue scores, opioid consumption, quality of recovery and quality of sleep up to 72 hours post operatively will be used for comparison.

Clinical Outcome Comparison Between Medial and Lateral Offset Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty
Description

The purpose of this study is to prospectively evaluate two FDA approved implant designs for the Tornier Reverse Shoulder arthroplasty. The small difference in design is the amount of offset each implant has. This offset may improve clinical outcomes in the patient population. There have been no clinical comparative studies between these two designs in the literature to date. We would like to follow these patients for two years after implantation of the reverse shoulder and evaluate their radiographs, pain scores, and shoulder functional scores. this would be the first randomized prospective single blinded study of its kind.

Description

This is an international, single arm, multicenter, prospective, non-significant risk, Post-Market Clinical Follow-up (PMCF) study. Data will be collected for the commercially available AEQUALIS FLEX REVIVE shoulder system in both the anatomic and reversed configurations. The purpose of this study is to collect data needed to satisfy the European Union (EU) Medical Device Regulation (MDR) clinical post-market surveillance (PMS) and reporting requirements, and to support future regulatory submissions and peer-reviewed publications on device performance and safety.

ATI Evidence-based Guide Investigating Clinical Services
Description

The investigators goal is to provide a mechanism that allows for a better understanding of patient outcomes following rehabilitation. This includes functional outcomes measured by standardized and validated tools from the published literature. It incorporates comorbidities and patient demographic characteristics. It includes measures of general health as well along with activities of daily living and behavioral health aspects. Measures of quality and satisfaction and use of Net Promoter Scores also are included. All of these components come together to form a remarkably comprehensive picture of patients and their associated outcomes. This is a unique milestone in rehabilitative care and will act to inform and direct evidence-based approaches and treatment guidelines. Data are collected via the investigators proprietary electronic medical record system and are synthetic to the clinical process-that is, the data are collected in real-time with patients and the scores are immediately provided to the treating therapist as well as archived for later Registry and scientific use. Subsequent reporting can be risk adjusted to any variable collected which yields robust insights as to idiopathic patient conditions. However, no PHI information will be available.
