Impact of Brief Motivational Interviewing on Periodontal Clinical Outcomes: a 3-year Post-trial Follow-up
Description

The objective is a 3-year follow-up clinical trial to evaluate longitudinal indicators of periodontal disease (plaque score, bleeding on probing (BOP), and gingival index (GI)) in 58 participants who completed NCT03571958. These participants were randomized to a brief motivational (BMI) test group or a traditional oral hygiene instruction (OHI) group for a 1-year clinical trial from 2018-2020. In addition, analysis of retrospective data to determine health topics that emerge from the behavior change strategy of BMI compared to traditional OHI by transcription of audio recordings from 2018-2020.

Clinical Research Study to Assess the Efficacy of Two Brushing Regimens in the Reduction of Established Dental Plaque and Gingivitis.
Description

Qualified subjects will be enrolled and randomized to one of the two study groups based on their initial Plaque and Gingivitis scores. Subjects will be instructed to use the products according to the instructions provided. Subjects will return to the dental office for evaluation after 1-, 3-, 6-, and 12-weeks of unsupervised product use at home. All subjects will be followed for adverse events throughout the study

Efficacy of Eco-Friendly Toothpaste Tablets Versus Conventional Toothpaste Using PI and GI Index
Description

Objectives: To assess the change in gingival index (GI) and plaque index (PI) when comparing the use of toothpaste tablets to conventional toothpaste. Methods: 40 participants were randomized into two groups: Colgate's toothpaste tablets (T) and Colgate's Cavity Protection toothpaste (C). Both groups utilized their assigned dentifrice for 2 weeks. A pre and post-assessment measured the GI and PI index. A questionnaire on the use of the product was distributed.
