COMPLETED
Minimally Invasive Treatment of Primary Great Saphenous Vein (GSV) Insufficiency Using High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)
Description

This is a one-arm, open label, prospective, single-center study. Primary objective To evaluate the feasibility of HIFU for treatment of Great Saphenous Vein using assessments of patient experience and response to treatment. Secondary objective To assess the general safety and ablation rate outcomes following HIFU treatment of GSV

Extracorporeal Flow Abolition in Relation With Primary Insufficiency of Great Saphenous Veins (GSV) Using High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) Generated by Sonovein: A Multi Center Prospective Pivotal Study
Description

This is a multi-center series assessment with a planned accrual of 70 patients with diagnosed symptomatic primary GSV insufficiency. Patients will be consented at a Pre-Study Visit and evaluated for eligibility and for baseline characteristics of the disease. Patients will receive treatment with Sonovein for the targeted segments of GSV. At follow-up visits at 7 days (1 to 10 days), 3 months (+/- 20 days), 6 months (+/- 25 days), and 12 months (+/- 30 days) changes in veins and flow characteristics will be evaluated by ultrasound, and patient well-being, including pain which will be evaluated by patient-reported VAS evaluations. Continued follow-up for a total of 12 months will be completed prior to subject study exit. Adverse events (AE) will be assessed at every study visit following HIFU treatment.

WITHDRAWN
Comparison Study for Safety and Efficacy of Two Devices for the Treatment of the Great Saphenous Vein
Description

This is a multi center, randomized, comparison study using two already cleared methods of treatment of the great saphenous vein (GSV). The hypothesis to be tested is that the use of the Venacure EVLT NeverTouch procedure is no worse than the RF ClosureFAST procedure for treatment of the GSV. Evaluation of post operative pain and bruising, quality of life assessments, adverse event assessments, confirmation of long term GSV closure, use of medications are criteria that will be evaluated during the course of this study.

VenaSeal Spectrum: Global Post-Market Randomized Controlled Trial
Description

Global, Post-Market, Prospective, Multi-Center, Randomized Controlled Trial of the VenaSeal™ Closure System vs. Surgical Stripping or Endothermal Ablation (ETA) for the Treatment of Early and Advanced Stage Superficial Venous Disease

COMPLETED
Lake Washington Vascular VenaSeal™ Post-Market Evaluation (WAVES)
Description

The VenaSeal Closure system offers an outpatient treatment option for the permanent closure of lower extremity superficial truncal veins, such as the great saphenous vein (GSV), through endovascular embolization with coaptation. VenaSeal is intended for use in adults with clinically symptomatic venous reflux as diagnosed by duplex ultrasound (DUS).
