Physiologic Signals and Signatures With the Accuryn Monitoring System - The Accuryn Registry
Description

The Accuryn Registry Study is an open-ended, global, multi-center, retrospective and prospective, single-arm data collection study with an FDA cleared device. The target population are cardiovascular surgery patients. Physiologic data measurements will be collected from enrolled subjects using electronic medical records and data streams via the Accuryn Monitoring System.

Intra-Abdominal Hypertension in Neonatal Intensive Care Patients
Description

The observational study is designed to determine the feasibility of performing Intra-Abdominal Pressure (IAP) via bladder pressure measurements and of tracking IAP in neonates who require bladder catheterization. Correlation of IAP measurements with clinical status of the neonatal abdomen will help determine threshold values for Intra-Abdominal Hypertension (IAH) in the neonate.

Measuring Intraabdominal Pressure, Lactic Acid, and Urine Output
Description

This study serves as a pilot study with the intention to to measure intraabdominal pressure, lactic acid, and urine output in obese individuals undergoing laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair. By measuring these values, the investigators aim to look for correlations between metrics and determine an accurate and precise measurement of IAP during laparoscopic hernia surgery using the Accuryn Monitoring System. By obtaining accurate and precise measurements of IAP during surgery the investigators will be to compare measurements to previous IAP data obtained during daily activities and strenuous movements and any associations with inguinal hernia recurrence.

Description

The purpose of this study is to investigate the intra-abdominal pressure utilizing the Accuryn monitoring system during pulsed field ablation procedures in the electrophysiology lab compared to the type of anesthetic utilized.

Chest Wall Influence on Respiratory System Mechanics in Morbidly Obese Patients
Description

The goal of this study is to describe the influence of the chest wall on the respiratory system mechanics in morbidly obese patients and in patients with high intra-abdominal pressure. The effects of increasing and decreasing positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) on chest wall and total respiratory system mechanics, lung volumes and gas exchange will be evaluated, both during controlled and assisted mechanical ventilation. Patients will be studied, first, during the acute phase of respiratory failure, when requiring intubation and controlled mechanical ventilation. Then, patients will be evaluated again during weaning from the ventilator to assess the influence of PEEP in assisted ventilation prior to extubation.

Percutaneous Catheter Decompression in the Treatment of Elevated Intra-abdominal Pressure
Description

Intra-abdominal hypertension (IAH) and abdominal compartment syndrome (ACS) have traditionally been treated surgically through emergent laparotomy. Intensivist-performed bedside drainage of free intra-peritoneal fluid or blood \[percutaneous catheter decompression (PCD)\] has been suggested as a less-invasive alternative to traditional open abdominal decompression (OAD). This study assesses the relative efficacy of PCD vs. OAD in reducing elevated intra-abdominal pressure (IAP).

Pharmacokinetics of Understudied Drugs Administered to Children Per Standard of Care
Description

Understudied drugs will be administered to children per standard of care as prescribed by their treating caregiver and only biological sample collection during the time of drug administration will be involved. A total of approximately 7000 children aged \<21 years who are receiving these drugs for standard of care will be enrolled and will be followed for up a maximum of 90 days. The goal of this study is to characterize the pharmacokinetics of understudied drugs for which specific dosing recommendations and safety data are lacking. The prescribing of drugs to children will not be part of this protocol. Taking advantage of procedures done as part of routine medical care (i.e. blood draws) this study will serve as a tool to better understand drug exposure in children receiving these drugs per standard of care. The data collected through this initiative will also provide valuable pharmacokinetic and dosing information of drugs in different pediatric age groups as well as special pediatric populations (i.e. obese).
