4 Clinical Trials for Various Conditions
The purpose of this study is to compare the rates of adverse events between patients undergoing Endoscopic Ultrasound- guided biliary drainage and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography for distal malignant biliary obstruction.
This research is being done to study the safety and feasibility of recruiting patients eligible for EUS-guided biliary drainage (EGBD). Our goal is to prospectively study safety and effectiveness of this procedure.
Plastic biliary stents which are a new larger size will remain free of obstructions for a longer period of time than currently used 10 French stents in cancer in the common bile duct.
The purpose of this study is to compare the rate of long-term stent failure, defined as need for repeat biliary intervention following placement of C-SEMS vs U-SEMS for palliation of inoperable malignant distal bile duct obstruction.
