Description

The purpose of this observer-blind study is to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of GSK Biologicals' meningococcal vaccine GSK134612 as compared to Menactra® in subjects 10 through 25 years of age. In addition, this study will compare the immunogenicity of two lots of GSK 134612 vaccine.

Description

In this study, the concentration of antibody to the vaccine one year, three and five years after vaccination in subjects who were vaccinated with GSK Biologicals' meningococcal vaccine GSK134612 in a previous study (whose objectives \& outcome measures are presented in a separate protocol posting with NCT number =00471081) will be evaluated. The safety and immune response of a booster dose of vaccine GSK134612 administered at 5 years post-primary vaccination will also be evaluated. In addition, the immune response to a dose of vaccine GSK134612 administered to age-matched controls not previously given a meningococcal vaccine will be evaluated. This protocol posting has been updated further to protocol amendment 2, dated 28 october 2010. Description

The purpose of this study is to determine whether a vaccine based on outer membrane vesicles (NOMV) from genetically detoxified group B meningococcus is safe and effective for use as a vaccine. If so, the NOMV in this vaccine will be combined with NOMV from two other genetically modified strains as a potentially globally effective vaccine against group B meningococcus.

Description

The purpose of this study is to determine if the vaccine called Group B Meningococcal 44/76 MOS NOMV 5D Vaccine is safe and free from side effects and if it will protect people from meningitis. This study will vaccinate three groups of people. In the first 2 groups, the study will be double-blinded. This means that neither the volunteer or the medical team will know which formulation of the vaccine was administered. The third group of volunteers and the medical team will know that they are receiving the higher dose of the vaccine.

Comparison of GSKBiologicals' Hib-MenCY-TT Vaccine vs Licensed Hib Conjugate or Meningococcal Vaccine
Description

This study is evaluating the safety and immunogenicity of GSK Biologicals' Hib-MenCY-TT vaccine compared to a control group receiving licensed Hib conjugate vaccine, each administered at 2, 4, and 6 months of age, and compared to licensed meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W-135 polysaccharide vaccine administered at 3 to 5 years of age. The safety and immunogenicity of a booster dose of Hib-MenCY-TT vaccine will be compared to a booster dose of licensed Hib conjugate vaccine, each administered at 12 to 15 months of age. The group primed with the Hib conjugate vaccine will re-randomized at 12-15 months of age to receive a booster dose of Hib-MenCY-TT or a booster dose of the Hib conjugate vaccine.

Brief Summary: The main purpose of the study is to learn about how well Trumenba vaccine shot works against gonorrhea infection. This study looks at data records from a database in the United States. This study includes patient's data from the database who: * Are 15-30 years old. * Have received at least one dose of Trumenba and a MenACWY vaccine or who have received only MenACWY vaccine. This data has already been collected in the past and is being studied between April and June of 2023.

Description

This is a clinical study to assess the safety, tolerance and immunogenic response to Gardasil (human papilloma virus (HPV)) and rLP2086 vaccine. Healthy male and female subjects will be randomized into 1 of 3 groups; the trial will be an observer-blinded study to the injection being given; and, vaccinated with either Gardasil and rLP2086 concomitantly, rLP2086 and saline concomitantly, or Gardasil and saline concomitantly. The subjects are adolescent children between the ages of 11 and 17 years old.

A Clinical Trial to Study the Safety, Tolerance and Immunogenic Response to MCV4, Tdap and Bivalent rLP2086 Vaccine When Given at the Same Time to Children Between the Ages of 10 Through 12 Years of Age
Description

This is a clinical study to assess the safety, tolerance and immunogenic response to MCV4(quadrivalent meningococcal polysaccharide conjugate, meningococcal serogroups A,C,Y, and W135), Tdap (diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis), and bivalent rLP2086 vaccine. Healthy male and female subjects, between the ages of 10 to 12 years old, will be randomized into 1 of 3 groups. The subjects, investigators, site staff and sponsor will be blinded to all injections given throughout the study. An unblinded administrator will be responsible to administer the vaccinations to all subjects and will be unblinded to the subject randomization in order to determine which subjects were in randomized to group 3 so they may receive their catch-up vaccinations of MCV4 and Tdap. A final telephone contact will be conducted with all subjects 6-months post their last vaccination to obtain safety information.

Description

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the production of antibodies to a new conjugate vaccine, NmVac4-A/C/Y/W-135-DT, as a measure of vaccine effectiveness, compared to the production of antibodies to a similar, licensed meningococcal (Groups A, C, Y, W-135) polysaccharide diphtheria toxoid (DT) conjugate vaccine. The investigators will also evaluate the safety of NmVac4-A/C/Y/W-135-DT™ conjugate vaccine compared to the licensed vaccine. The hypothesis is that the test vaccine is comparable to the licensed active control vaccine.

Examining Adolescent Assessment, Feedback, Incentive, and Exchange (AFIX) in North Carolina
Description

The North Carolina Immunization Branch will evaluate the use of the CDC program to improve adolescent vaccination practices (called Assessment, Feedback, Incentives, and eXchanges, or AFIX). This evaluation is the first of its kind in the nation and may have a profound impact on prevention. AFIX has four major components: 1) Assessment of a provider's current immunization practices and vaccination levels, 2) Feedback of the assessment results and strategies to improve coverage levels, 3) Incentives to improve coverage levels, and 4) eXchange of information and resources necessary to facilitate improvement. This program will evaluate the effectiveness of AFIX visits on affecting provider practices to increase adolescent (age 11-18) immunization. Visits include discussion of that practice's immunization rates and strategies for improving rates. The investigators will compare the changes, from baseline to 5 months, in immunization for practices receiving virtual visits (webinars), in-person visits, and no visits (control group). Thirty practices will be randomly assigned to each intervention type. The main outcomes of this study are practice-wide uptake rates of several adolescent vaccines (Tdap, HPV, and MCV4) as well as pre- and post-AFIX visit surveys focusing on recall tactics utilized by each practice. Data will be collected on practices with at least 200 adolescent patients (note: there is no patient-level data collected in this study).

The pre-specified 26 events of interest are events commonly evaluated in vaccine safety studies and include certain neurological, immunological, vascular, musculoskeletal and hematologic disorders. The purpose of this trial is to describe antibody persistence and response to re-vaccination with either Menactra® or Menomune® vaccine approximately three years following initial vaccination in adults who participated in trial MTA29 (NCT00874549). Objectives: * To describe the rates of immediate reactions, solicited injection-site and systemic reactions, all unsolicited adverse events, and serious adverse events following vaccination. * To evaluate persistence of serum bactericidal antibodies in subjects who received Menactra® or Menomune® vaccine approximately three years ago. * To evaluate the immune response to serogroups A, C, Y, and W-135 in subjects re-vaccinated with either Menactra® or Menomune® vaccine.

A Study of a Quadrivalent Meningococcal Tetanus Protein Conjugate Vaccine in Infants and Toddlers
Description

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the optimal vaccination schedule for a Quadrivalent Meningococcal Polysaccharide (A, C, Y and W-135) Tetanus Protein Conjugate Vaccine (MenACYW Conjugate vaccine) in order to provide an effective protein conjugate quadrivalent meningococcal vaccine in the population with the highest incidence of disease. Objectives: * To describe the safety profile of MenACYW Conjugate vaccine administered at 5 different schedules and concomitantly with routine pediatric vaccinations. * To describe the immunogenicity profile of MenACYW Conjugate vaccine administered at 5 different schedules and concomitantly with routine pediatric vaccinations. * To describe the immunogenicity profiles of selected licensed pediatric vaccines (Pentacel, Prevnar, M-M-RII, and Varivax) when administered either concomitantly with or without MenACYW Conjugate vaccine.
