5 Clinical Trials for Various Conditions
This study will investigate the clinical performance and diagnostic accuracy of the Mitomic® Endometriosis Test (MET) compared to laparoscopic diagnosis in a prospective clinical study in females presenting with symptoms suggestive of endometriosis. This study will recruit patients with suspected endometriosis who have been referred for a diagnostic laparoscopy. Patients will complete a questionnaire about their endometriosis symptoms and a sample of blood will be taken prior to their laparoscopy and sent to the laboratory for the MET to be run. This study aims to first enroll 104 subjects to support the clinical validation necessary for launch of the test as an LDT. Following this, we plan a study extension with an aim to enroll up to 900 more (for a total of 1000) subjects to enable more precise estimation of performance characteristics, characterization of test performance in subtypes of endometriosis, to better understand the relationship between test results and secondary endpoints such as symptoms and demographic variables, and to establish a bank of samples to support future test development.
SPIMD-301 is a 48-week, randomized, double-blind, parallel-group, placebo-controlled trial to assess efficacy and safety of single daily subcutaneous (SC) administration of elamipretide as a treatment for subjects with primary mitochondrial myopathy associated with nuclear DNA mutations (nPMD).
The Single Large-Scale mtDNA Deletion Sydrome: Natural History Study (PS-NHS) aims to collect data on standardized clinical outcomes, store data on the Champ Foundation Registry (CFR) and make this data available to researchers, clinicians, and industry partners who are studying SLSMDS to answer questions regarding the disease, including its causes, potential treatments, and other topics. A secondary aim is to analyze the data to understand research questions relating to the natural history of SLSMDS.
This study is an observational longitudinal study involving the use of MRIs and video recordings taken at home of patients completing basic tasks. Once consent is obtained, subjects will be asked to schedule an appointment with radiology to undergo the listed MRIs of the heart and/or muscle. Subjects will also be given instructions on how to use the video recording app on their personal devices, or study provided device. The subjects will be followed regularly over the course of two years, submitting video recordings of their movements and reporting to Mayo Clinic for MRIs as scheduled.
