This is a Phase 3, randomized, double-blind, controlled, parallel-group, multicenter clinical trial with co-crystal E-58425 compared to tramadol, to celecoxib, and to placebo. The primary objective of the trial is to establish the analgesic efficacy of co-crystal E-58425 by demonstrating a superior effect compared to tramadol and to celecoxib for the management of moderate to severe acute post-operative pain for 48 hours after bunionectomy.
The primary objective is to evaluate the analgesic efficacy of intravenous (IV) oliceridine administered as needed (PRN) compared with placebo in patients with moderate to severe acute pain after abdominoplasty.
The primary objective is to evaluate the analgesic efficacy of intravenous (IV) oliceridine administered as needed (PRN) compared with placebo in patients with moderate to severe acute postoperative pain after bunionectomy.
An open-label study of the pharmacokinetics (PK) and safety of MNK-155 in postsurgical adolescent subjects aged 12 to 17 years with moderate to severe acute pain. The study will assess the safety of administering multiple doses of MNK-155 in this population.
Phase 4, multicenter, open-label, multiple-dose study of the pharmacokinetics (PK) and safety of XARTEMIS XR in postsurgical adolescent subjects aged 12 to 17 years with moderate to severe acute pain. The study will assess the safety of administering multiple doses of XARTEMIS XR in this population.
The purpose of CLCT-006, a multi-center open-label study, is to evaluate the safety of CL-108 (hydrocodone 7.5 mg/APAP 325 mg, promethazine 12.5 mg) for the treatment of moderate to severe acute pain ("flare") associated with osteoarthritis of the knee or hip under actual conditions of use.
The objectives of this study are to compare the occurrence and severity of opioid-induced nausea and vomiting (OINV) associated with CL-108 to Norco®, and to demonstrate the efficacy of CL-108 when compared to placebo for the relief of moderate to severe pain In patients with moderate to severe pain following bunionectomy (osteotomy with fixation of the head of the first metatarsal bone).
Study to evaluate the overall performance of the Zalviso System™ (sufentanil sublingual tablet system) 15 mcg
To evaluate the safety and efficacy of sufentanil tablet (ST) 30 mcg in the management of moderate-to-severe acute pain in patients in an emergency room (ER) setting.
The primary objective is to evaluate the analgesic efficacy of IV TRV130 compared with placebo in patients with acute postoperative pain after bunionectomy.
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of Intravenous (IV) acetaminophen plus rescue opioids for the relief of moderate to severe acute pain in neonates and infants (age \< 2 years) compared to placebo plus standard of care rescue opioids as well as characterize the concentration-effect relationship (PK/PD) of the intravenous acetaminophen as compared to the control group.
This is a multicenter, open-label (all people involved know the identity of the intervention), single dose trial to evaluate the pharmacokinetic (PK) profile (how drugs are absorbed in the body, how are they distributed within the body and how are they removed from the body over time) in children aged from birth to less than 2 years after a surgical procedure that routinely produces moderate to severe acute post-surgical pain. The trial will also evaluate the safety and tolerability of tapentadol oral solution in the population studied and the effect of tapentadol oral solution on pain.
This is a Phase 2, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group, multicenter study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of SP-103 in subjects with moderate to severe acute lower back pain.
The purpose of this study is to compare intravenous (IV) and oral acetaminophen for the treatment of acute moderate to severe pain in combination with standard patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) in adult subjects following total knee replacement.
This is a Phase 3 double-blind, multiple dose safety extension study of Q8003 administered at daily doses up to 36 mg morphine/24 mg oxycodone (Q8003 36mg/24mg) over a treatment period of up to 4 weeks. Patients with acute moderate to severe pain who have completed participation in one of the designated QRxPharma, Inc. acute pain lead-in studies will be eligible for this trial.
This is a multicenter, open-label study in patients 40 years and older who are undergoing a surgical procedure. Patients may receive one dose of ST 30 mcg as needed for pain management, but no more frequently than every 60 minutes, for up to 12 hours.
We wish to examine the safety and speed of onset of giving a dose of 1mg hydromorphone followed by an additional 1mg. Eligible patients will be given 1 mg intravenous (IV) hydromorphone. At 15 minutes, these patients will be asked the question, "Do you need more pain medication?" Those that answer "yes" will receive an additional 1mg IV hydromorphone. Those that answer "no" will not receive additional pain medications at that time period (15 minutes). Thus, we wish to give up to 2 mg IV hydromorphone titrated to patients' pain, which we believe will result in less incidence of oxygen desaturation. If our study shows that this regimen is safe, its efficacy can be assessed in future trials. Positive results of those trials may lead to the use of this regimen to improve pain management in the emergency department.
The objective of this study is to evaluate the potential opioid-sparing effect associated with the novel combination of fentanyl and sub-dissociative ketamine in adult patients with moderate to severe pain in the emergency department.
The purpose of this study is to determine the appropriate dose and effectiveness of intra-nasal administration of a potent narcotic, sufentanil, for the treatment of moderate to severe pain due to broken bone(s) in the arm or leg.
This study will assess the safety and efficacy of lumiracoxib 400 mg in relieving moderate to severe post-dental surgery pain, compared to both placebo and celecoxib 400 mg.
This study will prospectively compare the mean Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) pain score reduction amongst three recommended dosing strategies of intravenous ketamine (0.1 mg/kg, 0.2 mg/kg, and 0.3mg/kg) for acute pain in the emergency department (ED).This study will also examine the frequency of adverse events secondary to ketamine including fatigue, dizziness, nausea, headache, feeling of unreality, changes in hearing or vision, mood changes, generalized discomfort, and hallucinations, changes in vital signs. Subgroups for exploratory analysis based on the need for rescue analgesia within two hours of ketamine administration, adequate pain relief, previous opioid tolerance, and age (adults \< 65 years old and \> 65 years old).
This is an open-label (both the physician and healthy volunteer know which medication will be administered), single-dose, 5-dosing period study to characterize the pharmacokinetics (process by which oxycodone is absorbed, distributed, metabolized, and eliminated by the body) and the effects of food on the pharmacokinetics of oxycodone. The study will take place over approximately two and a half months and will consist of three phases: a screening visit to determine eligibility for the study, a 5-dosing period treatment phase, and an end-of-study visit.
