4 Clinical Trials for Various Conditions
The purpose of this study is to find out whether the Nevisense device can provide useful information about atypical moles to complement the usual assessments done during routine screening for melanoma. Assessing particpants' moles with the Nevisense device may help improve screening methods for the early detection of melanoma in people with atypical mole syndrome.
The primary objective is to establish the pharmacokinetic (PK) profile at steady state of nevirapine XR in HIV infected children from \>=3 to \<18 years of age. This phase I trial is an open-label, multiple dose, non-randomized and cross-over study. Patients who have completed the last visit of the PK trial (visit 7) can enter into an Optional Extension Phase (OEP) until the Investigational New Drug (IND) is withdrawn; until nevirapine XR becomes approved and is available by prescription in a given country; or, the patient enrolls in a compassionate use program. During this OEP, nevirapine XR safety and efficacy information will be collected.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare the safety and efficacy of intermittent vismodegib and of Photodynamic Therapy (PDT).
PRIMARY: To compare the virologic activity (quantitative RNA PCR, quantitative PBMC) of the combination of nevirapine and zidovudine (AZT) versus AZT alone after 3 and 6 months of treatment. To compare the effects of these two regimens on CD4 T-cell count and percentage. SECONDARY: To compare and evaluate other markers of immunologic and virologic activity in patients receiving nevirapine/AZT versus AZT alone. To compare the effects of the two regimens on clinical signs and symptoms. To evaluate the safety and tolerance of the two regimens.
