Neural Mechanisms of Interpersonal Expectations on Negative Affect
Description

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn whether non-invasive brain stimulation, called transcranial temporal interference stimulation (tTIS), can reduce negative affect, and how expectations shaped by care providers influence these effects. The main questions this study aims to answer are: (1)Does active tTIS reduce negative affect more effectively than sham (inactive) tTIS? (2)Do positive treatment expectations enhance the effects compared to negative expectations? Participants will: (1) Receive either active or sham tTIS. (2) Be provided with positive or negative messaging regarding treatment effectiveness. (3) Interact with care providers and complete assessments measuring negative affect and physiological responses.

Computerized Chemosensory-Based Orbitofrontal Cortex (CBOT) for Opioid Use Disorder
Description

Opioid Use Disorders (OUD) cause significant burden to individuals, families, and the society. Our product - Computerized Chemosensory-Based Orbitofrontal Cortex Training (CBOT) - offers a cost-saving, home-based, user-friendly brain stimulation system that increased 6-month treatment retention of OUDs in a pilot study; and also, acutely reduced opioid withdrawal severity and negative affect during induction into opioid maintenance therapy. This study will establish its effectiveness in a broad category of OUD subjects at different stages of OUD care continuum.

Treating Negative Affect in Low Back Pain Patients
Description

This study will examine how the use of antidepressant, physical therapy, and combination of both affects pain, function, and depression outcomes in chronic low back pain patients.
