COMPLETED
Metal on Metal Versus Ceramic on Metal Hip Replacement
Description

The purpose of this study is to compare the performance of artificial hips with metal heads and metal sockets to artificial hips with ceramic heads articulating with metal socket components. The success of the total hip arthroplasty (THA) will be based upon all of the following clinical and radiographic criteria being met at the two-year evaluation: (1) the patient's clinical results as measured using modified Harris Hip evaluation rating system, and the absence of a complication that requires the surgical removal or replacement of a component; and (2) radiographic findings at study endpoint (i.e., two years follow-up). Clinical and radiographic success at two (2) years postoperative is required for the study hip to be deemed successful.

TERMINATED
Restoration® Anatomic Dual Mobility (ADM) X3® Acetabular System Study
Description

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the success rate of cementless primary hip replacement with the Restoration® ADM X3® Acetabular System as compared to other primary hip systems in the literature, through absence of femoral head dislocation at 10 years postoperative.

TERMINATED
MDR - Longevity IT Oblique and Offset Liners
Description

The objective of this retrospective enrollment/prospective follow-up consecutive series PMCF study is to collect data confirming safety, performance, and clinical benefits of the Longevity IT Oblique and Offset liners when used for primary or revision total hip arthroplasty (implants and instrumentation) at a minimum of 10-year follow-up.

ACTIVE_NOT_RECRUITING
Safety and Performance of the Journey™ II UNI Unicompartmental Knee System
Description

This clinical study will evaluate the early to midterm safety and performance of the JOURNEY™ II UNI UKS in patients with non-inflammatory degenerative joint disease of the knee requiring lateral or medial knee compartment replacement. Clinical, radiographic, health economic and safety outcomes will be evaluated.

ACTIVE_NOT_RECRUITING
Journey™ UNI Post Market Clinical Follow-Up
Description

This is a retrospective/prospective, open-label single cohort, multicenter study to collect relevant clinical data from 147 subjects with unicompartmental degeneration of the knee in whom the Journey UNI UKS was previously implanted.

COMPLETED
Ceramic-on-Ceramic (COC) 36mm Acetabular Bearing Insert Post Approval Study-New Subjects (COC36mmPAS)
Description

This study is intended to gather short (Pre-operative to 4-years) and mid-term (5-years) information regarding the performance and safety of the commercially available 36mm CERAMAX® Ceramic on Ceramic Total Hip System from a cohort of new study subjects that were not previously involved in the IDE study for this device.

COMPLETED
Ceramic On Ceramic (COC) 36mm PAS IDE Rollover Subjects; Ceramic Acetabular Bearing With Ceramic Femoral Head in Total Hip Replacement
Description

This study is intended to gather medium (5- to 7-years) and long-term (minimum 8- to 10-years) information regarding the performance and safety of the commercially available 36mm CERAMAX® Ceramic on Ceramic (COC) Total Hip System from a cohort of study subjects that were previously enrolled in the IDE study. (COC = 36mm ceramic acetabular bearing insert component that articulates with a ceramic femoral head in the COC total hip replacement system)

TERMINATED
28mm Ceramic-on-Ceramic Total Hip Replacement Study
Description

This study is intended to gather medium (0-5 years) and long-term (6-10 years) information regarding the performance and safety of the commercially available Ceramax™ Ceramic on Ceramic Total Hip System. This is a two-phased study consisting of a clinical follow-up phase and a clinical outcomes phase. In Phase One (0-5 years), diagnostic, demographic and operative information will be gathered for each subject enrolled in this study. In addition, Harris Hip Evaluations, subjective evaluations and radiographs will be completed annually. In Phase Two (6 - 10 years), a subjective outcomes questionnaire and a SF-12 Health Survey will be mailed to subjects annually.

TERMINATED
CoMplete™ Acetabular Hip System
Description

The primary objective of this investigation is to evaluate survivorship at ten years. For this post approval study (PAS), a maximum acceptable hazard of revision is assumed to be a constant 1% per year.

COMPLETED
Metal Ion Release From an FDA-Approved Metal-on-Metal Total Hip Replacement Implant
Description

This is a multi-center, randomized study to compare blood and urine cobalt, chromium, and titanium ion levels of a metal-on-metal articular bearing coupled with two different head sizes to that of a conventional metal-on-polyethylene bearing.

COMPLETED
36 mm Ceramic-on-Ceramic Acetabular Cup Total Hip Replacement
Description

This study is a supplement to the 28 mm Ceramic-on-Ceramic study which was designed to evaluate artificial hips with a 28 mm ceramic head and liner to determine whether they perform as well as artificial hips with a 28 mm ceramic head and a polyethylene liner. This arm of the study is designed to compare a 36 mm ceramic head and sleeve with a subset of the control (28mm ceramic head and a polyethylene sleeve) from the original study (G030075) (NCT#00208507) with additional follow-up, to determine if they perform as well.

COMPLETED
Multi-Center Comparative Trial of the ASR™-XL Acetabular Cup System vs. the Pinnacle™ Metal- on- Metal Total Hip System
