A Phase 2 Efficacy and Safety Study of GAL-101, 2% Ophthalmic Solution in Non-foveal Geographic Atrophy Secondary to Non-neovascular AMD
Description

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) affects millions of elderly patients. When advanced, there is Geographic Atrophy (GA) in the retina. This means that there is an area with a loss of light-sensitive cells, called photoreceptors. That part of the retina can no longer see. Atrophy begins as a small spot in the retina distant from the fovea which is the part of the retina responsible for sharp central vision. The GA grows, and when it reaches the fovea, vision is severely diminished, and details cannot be seen anymore. The purpose of the eDREAM study is to understand if GAL-101 can slow the growth of GA and prevent it from reaching the fovea. GAL-101 is given as eyedrops. eDREAM patients will administer study eyedrops every day. Patients will be assigned by chance (randomly) to receive either eye-drops that contain the new medication, GAL-101, or eyedrops without the active drug (Placebo). Neither patients nor doctors will know which treatment was assigned to each patient until the end of the study.

The Effects of 3% Trehalose Ophthalmic Solution on Corneal Epithelial Barrier Function
Description

The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the effects of trehalose, an ingredient found in commercially available artificial tears, on the corneal barrier function. The investigators will assess corneal dryness and measure the relative corneal epithelial "barrier" function (the degree to which the cornea can prevent penetration of sodium fluorescein dye into the eye) after using eye drops that contain 3% trehalose for one month.

Study to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of CSB-001 Ophthalmic Solution 0.1% in Subjects With Limbal Stem Cell Deficiency
Description

This study will enroll subjects with qualifying limbal stem cell deficiency (LSCD). All subjects will receive CSB-001 investigational drug in either one or both study eyes. The study is comprised of two identical phases (Dosing Phase I and II) of test article dosing separated by a 31- to 40-day period, the Dosing Holiday, where no test article is administered. Dosing Phase II is followed by an observational, noninterventional phase (Observation Phase).

Study to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of CSB-001 Ophthalmic Solution 0.1% in Subjects With Corneal Scars
Description

This study will enroll subjects with recently formed corneal scars that resulted from a corneal insult presenting and diagnosed within the past approximately 30 days and not less than approximately 7 days. All subjects will be assigned to CSB-001 investigational treatment on Day 1. All subjects will dose with CSB-001 four times daily or three times daily starting on Day 1 and continue until Day 14. Subjects with a resolved scar at Day 7 will discontinue dosing and return to the clinic on Day 14. Subjects will return on Days 21, 28, 56, and Month 3 for safety and efficacy assessments.

Researchers will observe patients that receive two different dosages of ONL1204 Ophthalmic Solution (50 µg or 200 µg) compared to current standard therapy (no treatment) to see if there are differences in vision and safety outcomes.
