3 Clinical Trials for Various Conditions
This study will examine the effects of a single session of a quick stretch technique delivered to the neck on neck and shoulder motion as well as shoulder strength in collegiate overhead athletes.
To examine and compare the effect of a novel stretching technique and traditional stretching on glenohumeral range of motion, strength, maximum voluntary contraction, pain, and subject satisfaction in overhead athletes with glenohumeral internal rotation deficits through a randomized clinical study.
The purpose of this study is to determine if stabilizing the scapula (shoulder blade) during a common shoulder stretch is more effective at improving shoulder range of motion than not stabilizing the scapula. Investigators hypothesize that scapular stabilization during horizontal adduction stretching will demonstrate greater gains in shoulder range of motion than stretching without scapular stabilization.
