COMPLETED
Retrospective/Prospective Study of Pediatric Surgical Patients
Description

UIC Division of pediatric surgery has IRB approval to perform retrospective and prospective study of their pediatric surgical patients. At UIC Dr. Lobe performed the first known single port robotic splenectomy on a child and as a surgical first this case is worthy of a case report. Since it is a surgical and therapeutic first it needs to be aon regestiry of health research prior to publication.

Stanford Program to Accelerate Robotic Children's Surgery
Description

The goal of this clinical trial is to provide additional data to confirm safety and performance of the da Vinci Xi Surgical System in a human clinical setting. This pilot study is intended to provide an initial assessment to evaluate the feasibility, safety, and effectiveness for the utilization of the da Vinci Xi on pediatric and adolescent patients. This clinical trial will be conducted under the auspices of Stanford University's IRB approval.

COMPLETED
Prospective Pediatric Pyeloplasty Robotic Surgical Database
Description

Performance and outcomes measure are, at this time, relatively unknown for robotic pyeloplasty procedures. The purpose of this study is to provide a clearer understanding of the urology department's robotic pyeloplasty quality and outcomes measures. This will be accomplished by prospectively collecting data for these procedures would ensure that measures are consistently collected in accordance with a defined protocol, allowing for more valuable quality and clinical research analysis. Hypothesis will be defined before data analysis is performed. Amendments specifying future hypothesis will be submitted the IRB at the appropriate time.

Spine Procedures Assisted with RoboTics and Navigation
Description

Creation of a pediatric robotic spine surgery registry will allow for data collection and analysis on the coupled use of robotics and navigation, as well as patient-specific rods in pediatric spine deformity surgery across participating study institutions. Eventually, an educational and informative framework for this technology will be established.
