COMPLETED
PPG to Predict Ejection Fraction and Other Echographic Data in the General Population
Description

The investigators are aiming to investigate the association between ejection fraction (EF) determined by echocardiography and signals obtained from Photoplethysmography (PPG) in the general population. The investigators are also aiming to investigate the association between blood pressure and signals obtained from PPG in the general population. Finally, the investigators are also aiming to investigate the association between signals obtained from PPG in the general population to cardioechographic findings such as, valvular heart disease, structural heart diseases, cardiomyopathies, pericardial disease etc.

THE ALIGN-AR EFS TRIAL: JenaValve Pericardial TAVR Aortic Regurgitation Study
Description

To collect information about treatment for severe Aortic Regurgitation (AR), which affects the aortic valve in the heart. Aortic regurgitation is a condition where aortic valve in the heart does not close tightly and allows some blood to leak back into the heart chamber. Symptoms of aortic regurgitation may include fatigue and shortness of breath. The preferred treatment for severe aortic regurgitation is aortic valve replacement surgery.

JENAVALVE AS EFS TRIAL: Pericardial TAVR Aortic Stenosis Study
Description

To collect information about treatment for severe aortic stenosis (AS), which affects the aortic valve in the heart. Aortic stenosis is a narrowing of the aortic valve opening, which decreases blood flow from the heart and causes symptoms such as chest pain, fainting and shortness of breath. The preferred treatment for severe aortic stenosis is aortic valve replacement surgery.

COMPLETED
Pericardial Fat and Inflammation in HIV Patients and Controls
Description

The investigators propose to correlate 1) cardiac MRI pericardial adipose volume, 2) the presence of pericardial monocytes and 3) circulating immune biomarkers in persons with and without CHD and HIV infection compared to seronegative controls with known CHD. The investigators aim to test the hypothesis that higher amounts of pericardial fat deposition and increased presence of monocytes within this adipose tissue are associated with underlying coronary artery disease in persons with HIV infection as measured by cardiac MRI.

COMPLETED
Carpentier-Edwards PERIMOUNT Magna Ease Pericardial Bioprosthesis, Model 3300TFX
Description

The purpose of the study is to demonstrate the long term safety and effectiveness of the Carpentier-Edwards PERIMOUNT Magna Ease Valves in patients undergoing aortic valve replacement with or without concomitant procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass.

COMPLETED
Magna® Mitral Pericardial Bioprostheses Post-Approval Study Protocol
Description

The purpose of the study is to demonstrate the long term safety and effectiveness of the Carpentier-Edwards® PERIMOUNT Magna Mitral Valves in patients undergoing mitral valve replacement with or without concomitant procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass.

COMPLETED
Clinical Investigation Of The Mitroflow Aortic Pericardial Heart Valve
Description

This is a trial to demonstrate the safety and effectiveness of the Mitroflow Aortic Heart Valve when used to replace a diseased or dysfunctional aortic valve or aortic valve prosthesis.

COMPLETED
Focused Cardiac Ultrasound
Description

To compare the images from standard cardiac ultrasound with images from a small hand-held device; to find out more about the feasibility and accuracy of a small hand-held ultrasound device.
