Study to Assess the Safety and Efficacy of Subcutaneously Injected Risankizumab in Adult Participants With Genital or Scalp Psoriasis
Description

Psoriasis (PsO) is a chronic disease characterized by marked inflammation of the skin that results in thick, red, scaly plaques. This study will assess how safe and effective risankizumab is in adult participants with moderate to severe genital psoriasis or moderate to severe scalp psoriasis. Adverse events and change in disease signs and symptoms will be monitored. Risankizumab (Skyrizi) is a drug being studied for the treatment of moderate to severe genital psoriasis or moderate to severe scalp psoriasis. Approximately 200 participants with moderate to severe genital psoriasis or moderate to severe scalp psoriasis will be enrolled across approximately 45 sites globally. The study will be broken up into 2 sub-studies by disease location, participants with moderate to severe genital psoriasis (Study G) and moderate to severe scalp psoriasis (Study S). In both sub-studies participants will receive subcutaneous (SC) injections of risankizumab during the 52 week treatment period, or SC injections of placebo risankizumab during the 16 week treatment period followed by SC injections of risankizumab during the 36 week treatment period, with an 8-week follow-up period after the 52 week treatment period. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.

To demonstrate improvement in scalp itch reduction following 12 weeks of once daily treatment with tazarotene/halobetasol lotion in patients with moderate to severe scalp psoriasis.3. To pictorially demonstrate improvement in moderate to severe scalp psoriasis with 12 weeks of once daily treatment with tazarotene/halobetasol lotion.4. To assessment patient perceptions of the value of a lotion in the treatment of moderate to severe scalp psoriasis.

Description

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of once daily use of LEO 80185 topical suspension in adolescent subjects (aged 12 to 17 years) with scalp psoriasis. LEO 80185 topical suspension has marketing approval in many countries under the brand names Taclonex Scalp® Topical Suspension and Xamiol® gel for the treatment of scalp psoriasis in adults. No studies have been performed in subjects younger than 18 years.

Scalp Psoriasis Treatment With a Fiber Optic Comb
Description

This study will test the safety and effectiveness of a novel fiber optic device for treating scalp psoriasis with ultraviolet (UV-B) light. A effective treatment is not currently available for people with scalp psoriasis. Present methods for treating psoriasis with UV-B light cannot be used for the scalp because hair is usually blocking the light from reaching the affected skin. Our method overcomes this problem with the use of a comb that has optical fibers to deliver light directly to the skin. We will evaluate this device in a clinical setting and will use the results to tailor the design of the comb before producing it in large quantities.

The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy and safety of Calcipotriol 50 Mcg/g Plus Betamethasone 0.5 mg/g (as Dipropionate) Topical Suspension with the active components when used individually as monotherapy in the topical suspension vehicle (betamethasone dipropionate in the topical suspension vehicle, calcipotriol in the topical suspension vehicle) and with the topical suspension vehicle alone in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris on the non-scalp regions of the body (trunk and/or limbs) in a large phase 3 study. This comparison will ensure a more informed assessment of the benefit/risk ratio of Calcipotriol 50 Mcg/g Plus Betamethasone 0.5 mg/g (as Dipropionate) Topical Suspension while also establishing the optimal treatment duration in psoriasis vulgaris on the non-scalp regions of the body (trunk and/or limbs).

This is a Phase 3, multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind study designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of apremilast (CC-10004) in subjects with mild to moderate plaque psoriasis. Approximately 574 subjects with mild to moderate plaque psoriasis will be randomized 1:1 to receive either apremilast 30 mg BID or placebo for the first 16 weeks.
