A Multicenter, Randomized, Parallel Group, Double-Blind, Placebo Controlled, Flexible Dose Escalation Study To Evaluate Sexual And Relationship Satisfaction In The Female Partner Of Men With Erectile Dysfunction Treated With Sildenafil Citrate
Description

To compare the effects of sildenafil versus placebo on the female partner's sexual satisfaction as assessed by Question 3 of Female Partner of Erectile Dysfunction (ED) Subject Questionnaire (FePEDS-Q): "Over the past 4 weeks, when you had sexual intercourse, how often was it satisfactory for you?" For ED subjects, determine difference in the Erectile Function domain of International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) between sildenafil citrate and placebo at end of the treatment phase and determine the overall relationship between improved erectile function and increased ED subject and female partner satisfaction.

Immediate Vaginal Reconstruction After Oncologic Resection: Surgical Outcomes, Patient Satisfaction and Sexual Function
Description

This study is being done to find out more about the experience women have with vaginal reconstruction. We hope to learn about their quality of life, sexual function, and body image. We would like to find out how happy women are with surgery. We also want to know what things should be changed or improved. Evaluating the Impact of CHOICE-AYA on Contraceptive Use, Continuation and Satisfaction
Description

This is a prospective study involving two phases: 1) adaptation and 2) intervention, in adolescents aged 14-21 experiencing homelessness. The overarching goal is to develop and evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of a counselling intervention to improve access to contraception among AYA experiencing homelessness. During the first phase, referred to as the adaption phase, we will rely on collective input from formative groups of AYA experiencing homelessness to adapt the CHOICE counselling intervention for this underserved and under-resourced population. In the second phase, referred to as the intervention phase, we will evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of the adapted intervention (CHOICE-AYA).

COMPLETED
LOVE Trial: Limits On Vaginal Intercourse After Mid-urEthral Sling
Description

There are no prospective, randomized studies addressing vaginal penetration restrictions following mid-urethral slings. There is a single cohort study examining expedited recovery following vaginal prolapse repair which advised 3-weeks of vaginal penetration restrictions. This study reported an earlier return to intercourse in the 3-week group than in the retrospectively collected control group where 6-weeks of restriction were advised. This study did not evaluate the impact of early versus later return to sexual activity on wound complications, mesh exposure rates, pain or satisfaction. It is important to develop evidenced-based recommendations on post-operative sexual activity restrictions. The purpose of this research study is to understand if the "standard" 6-week restriction on vaginal penetration/intercourse after mid-urethral sling affects patient satisfaction

COMPLETED
Viveve Geneveve Treatment of the Vaginal Introitus to Evaluate Safety and Efficacy

Effect of Physician Race and Gender on Simulated Patients' Ratings
Description

The purpose of the study was to determine whether the race and gender of a simulated doctor affected analog patients' reported confidence and satisfaction in the simulated doctor's diagnosis and treatment plan. The study used two randomized patient analog experiments. This study is complete and pre-analysis plans (PAPs) for each experiment were published prior to data collection. The PAPs are available at: http://aspredicted.org/blind.php?x=43xj25 (Study 1) and https://aspredicted.org/blind.php?x=369st7 (Study 2).

COMPLETED
Evaluation of Abdominal Wall Block With Liposomal Bupivacaine for Post-Operative Analgesia in Donor Nephrectomy
Description

A blinded randomized control trial in living kidney donors. The study group will receive a liposomal bupivacaine Trans Quadratus Lumborum (TQL) block after the induction of general anesthesia. The following study variables will be collected postoperatively following arrival in the post-anesthesia care unit. Current and maximum intensity pain scores will be documented by nurses in Electronic Health Record (EHR). Total opiate dose consumed every 24 hours will be collected from the EHR and pain diary after discharge. Patient satisfaction will be evaluated using the Revised American Pain Society Patient Outcome Questionnaire (APS-POQ-R) 24 hours' post-procedure. Incidence of nausea will be extracted from nursing notes.
