Study Using High-Dose Single Fraction Image-Guided Radiotherapy for Metastatic Lesions to Soft Tissue Masses, Lymph Node, or Bone
Description

The purpose of this research study is to find out what IG-IMRT radiation dose works best for treatment of disease in bone or soft tissues. This protocol will study what dose level may work most effectively. The first part of study will treat 10 patients with 22 Gray. Gray (Gy) is the unit that is used to describe the dose of radiation that is being given to a person with cancer. After we confirm that 22 Gy is a safe and sufficient amount of radiation, we will then treat another group of patients with 24 Gy and so on until we reach 28 Gy. Each dose level starting with 24 Gy will enroll at least 20 patients per treatment site (bone, bowel and/or spine). Patients will be enrolled in each treatment category until 20 patients in each strata reach an evaluable time point of 3 months post-RT. When we understand what dose works best and has the least amount of bad effects, the study will then look to see how well the patients do after the radiation therapy. This study is trying to see how your doctor can best treat the cancer that has spread to the other parts of your body.

Extraction of Stromal Vascular Fraction and Stem Cells From Fat Tissue
Description

Human Adipose Tissue is considered as a new source for Stromal Stem Cells and offers a large therapeutic potential for many rare and common diseases that impacts millions of patients worldwide. The Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) of Adipose Tissue is relatively easy to extract with minimally invasive procedures such as elective liposuction in large quantities and therefore may be a cost effective source for cellular therapies in a wide range of medical specialties. In this study we aim to demonstrate the efficacy of Antria Cell Preparation Process© in obtaining human adipose derived Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) by performing histology, various cell counts, multiple surface marker tests and measurement of the residual amount of digestive enzymes as a safety measure for human clinical trials.

"The Efficacy of Exparel Versus a Multidrug Cocktail in Soft Tissue Tumors"
Description

The objective of this proposed project is to determine which local anesthetic is more efficacious for use in soft tissue tumors: Exparel (liposomal bupivacaine) or a cocktail of Ropivicaine, Epinepherine, Ketolorac and Clonidine. This study will examine patients' post-operative pain levels as well as their narcotic consumption after removal of a soft tissue tumor while hospitalized and then twice daily through postoperative day 14.

The Reproducibility and Consistency of Instrument-assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation
Description

The overall purpose of this study is to objectively describe and test the consistency and reproducibility of instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation (IASTM).The specific aims of this current study are to: 1. Analyze IASTM stroke patterns using objective metrics; 2. Test the consistency of force application, with and without visual monitoring of objective metrics, and; 3. Determine the reliability of dynamic pressure pain threshold assessment. The ultimate goal of this continuing line of research is to improve soft tissue manual therapy practice in research, education, and clinic for use as a non-invasive modality in soft tissue assessment and treatment. Results from this protocol will inform future clinical trials, including studies exploring the effects of different IASTM dose-loads in various musculoskeletal pain conditions.

This study is to collect and validate regulatory-grade real-world data (RWD) in oncology using the novel, Master Observational Trial construct. This data can be then used in real-world evidence (RWE) generation. It will also create reusable infrastructure to allow creation or affiliation with many additional RWD/RWE efforts both prospective and retrospective in nature.
