A Study to Assess the Efficacy and Safety of Debio 4126 in Participants With Acromegaly Previously Treated With Somatostatin Analogs
Description

The primary purpose of this study is to assess the effect of Debio 4126 in the maintenance of the levels of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) ≤1x upper limit of normal (ULN) in the double-blind period (Period 1) in comparison to placebo at week 36.

COMPLETED
A Phase II Study of Ramucirumab With Somatostatin Analog Therapy in Patients With Advanced, Progressive Carcinoid Tumors
Description

This research study is evaluating the drug Ramucirumab as a possible treatment for Advanced, Progressive Carcinoid Tumors.

COMPLETED
Comparison of Oral Octreotide Capsules to Injectable Somatostatin Analogs in Acromegaly
Description

Octreotide capsule is a novel, orally-administered formulation of the commercially-available injectable drug octreotide. In a recent phase 3 trial (OPTMAL; NCT03252353), oral octreotide capsules demonstrated sustained biochemical response up to 13 months in patients with acromegaly previously managed with somatostatin analog injections (ref). The objective of this study was to compare the efficacy, safety, and patient reported outcomes (PROs) between oral octreotide capsules and injectable somatostatin receptor ligands (SRLs).

Oral Glucose Tolerance Testing (OGTT) on Patients Taking Somatostatin Analogs
Description

The purpose of this study is to test the effect of long-acting somatostatin analog medications, taken by patients with acromegaly or carcinoid syndrome, on growth hormone in comparison to healthy controls who are not receiving the medication in order to see whether or not the medication makes the oral glucose test less accurate. The Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT) is a standard test to measure growth hormone secretion. By comparing GH responses in non-acromegaly subjects taking somatostatin analog treatment, the relative contribution of the medication and the underlying disease state can be analyzed.

COMPLETED
Pasireotide LAR in Severe Polycystic Liver Disease
Description

The purpose of this study is to compare SOM230 treatment to placebo. The investigators will also assess the efficacy and safety of SOM230 in reducing total liver volume and improving quality of life.

TERMINATED
Study of Lanreotide in Patients With Metastatic Gastrointestinal Neuroendocrine Tumors Who Are Undergoing Liver-directed Radioembolization With Yttrium-90 Microspheres
Description

Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) and cancers that originate from the gastrointestinal tract can be resistant to standard chemotherapy and often metastasize to the liver. Lanreotide (Somatuline® Depot) Injection and Yttrium-90 microspheres (SIR-Spheres®) each have FDA approval to treat patients with metastatic NETs. The purpose of this study is to determine if treatment for patients with NETs can be optimized by combining these therapies.

COMPLETED
Efficacy and Safety of Octreotide (MYCAPSSA™ [Formerly Octreolin™]) for Acromegaly
Description

MYCAPSSA™ (formerly Octreolin™) is a proprietary oral form of the approved injectable medical product octreotide used to treat acromegaly. This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of MYCAPSSA™ treatment in patients with acromegaly.

Conditions
COMPLETED
Assessment of the Ability of Subjects With Acromegaly or Their Partners to Administer Somatuline Autogel
Description

The purpose of this study is to determine whether subjects with acromegaly (or their partners) are able to self administer Somatuline Autogel at home.

Conditions
COMPLETED
Use of Sanvar® With Endoscopic Treatment for the Control of Acute Variceal Bleeding
Description

The main objective of this study is to determine the efficacy of early administration of Sanvar® in combination with endoscopic treatment for the control of acute variceal bleeding.
