Monitoring of Immune and Microbial Reconstitution in (HCT) and Novel Immunotherapies
Description

This protocol serves as a mechanism to collect, store, and distribute bodily fluid and tissue samples obtained from Hematopoietic Cell Transplant (HCT) or novel immunotherapy patients and their donors at the Masonic Cancer Center in order to conduct correlative studies of the immune system, microbiota, and their interactions. Fluid (including but not limited to, blood, urine, saliva, cerebrospinal fluid, bronchoalveolar lavage fluid) sample log-in, processing, relabeling, and storage is performed by the Masonic Cancer Center (MCC) Translational Therapy Lab (TTL).

RECRUITING
A Registry for People With T-cell Lymphoma
Description

The purpose of this registry study is to create a database-a collection of information-for better understanding T-cell lymphoma. Researchers will use the information from this database to learn more about how to improve outcomes for people with T-cell lymphoma.

COMPLETED
UARK 2014-21 A Phase II Trial of Oncolytic Virotherapy by Systemic Administration of Edmonston Strain of Measles Virus
Description

The purpose of this study is to determine the clinical efficacy of MV-NIS (measles virus-sodium iodide symporter) therapy for people with relapsed/refractory myeloma when given with cyclophosphamide

WITHDRAWN
A Study to Evaluate the Safety and Preliminary Efficacy of ATA3219 in Participants With Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Description

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and preliminary efficacy of ATA3219 for treatment of participants with lupus nephritis (LN) following lymphodepletion (LD) and in participants with extrarenal systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) without LD.

WITHDRAWN
Phenylbutyrate and Valganciclovir in Treating Patients With Relapsed or Refractory Epstein-Barr Virus-Positive Cancer
Description

RATIONALE: The Epstein-Barr virus can cause cancer and lymphoproliferative disorders. Valganciclovir is an antiviral drug that acts against the Epstein-Barr virus. Phenylbutyrate may make cells infected with Epstein-Barr virus more sensitive to valganciclovir. Giving phenylbutyrate together with valganciclovir may block the growth of Epstein-Barr virus-infected cells and kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving phenylbutyrate together with valganciclovir works in treating patients with relapsed or refractory Epstein-Barr virus-positive cancer.

COMPLETED
Ganciclovir Plus Arginine Butyrate in Treating Patients With Cancer or Lymphoproliferative Disorders Associated With the Epstein Barr Virus
Description

RATIONALE: The Epstein Barr virus can cause cancer and lymphoproliferative disorders. Ganciclovir is an antiviral drug that acts against the Epstein Barr virus. Arginine butyrate may make virus cells more sensitive to ganciclovir. Combining ganciclovir and arginine butyrate may kill more Epstein Barr virus cells and tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of arginine butyrate plus ganciclovir in treating patients who have cancer or lymphoproliferative disorders that are associated with the Epstein Barr virus.

COMPLETED
Mechanisms of Immune Reconstitution & Reduced Immune Activation Following Darunavir-based ART
Description

Potent HIV suppression with Darunavir-based antiretroviral therapy (ART) will lead to repopulation of gastrointestinal-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) cluster of differentiation (CD)4+ T-cell populations, normalization of systemic immune activation, and improved HIV-associated cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk.

TERMINATED
Influenza Vaccine in Preventing Flu in Patients Who Have Undergone Stem Cell Transplant and in Healthy Volunteers
Description

RATIONALE: The influenza vaccine may help prevent flu in patients who have undergone stem cell transplant. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying how well the influenza vaccine works in preventing flu in patients who have undergone stem cell transplant and in healthy volunteers.

ENROLLING_BY_INVITATION
Comparative Autoantibody and Immunologic Cell Marker Study
Description

The purpose of this study is to compare immune phenotype, function, and specificity of B lymphocytes from different developmental stages in autoimmune patients to B cells from infectious disease patients and healthy controls.

COMPLETED
At-Home Research Study for Patients With Autoimmune, Inflammatory, Genetic, Hematological, Infectious, Neurological, CNS, Oncological, Respiratory, Metabolic Conditions
Description

We are the missing link in clinical trials, connecting patients and researchers seamlessly and conveniently using a mobile health platform to advance medical research. We make it easy for patients to contribute to research for medical conditions that matter most to them, regardless of their location or ability to travel.

COMPLETED
Detecting Anal and Genital Human Papillomavirus Infection and Squamous Intraepithelial Lesions in HIV-Positive Patients Enrolled in AIDS Cancer Clinical Trials
Description

RATIONALE: Diagnostic procedures, such as anal swab collection, digital rectal examination, and anal endoscopy and biopsy, may help find and diagnose anal and genital human papillomavirus infection and squamous intraepithelial lesions and help doctors plan better treatment. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying ways to detect anal and genital human papillomavirus infection and squamous intraepithelial lesions in HIV-positive patients enrolled in an AIDS cancer clinical trial.
