The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of KUR-113 Bone Graft (TGplPTH1-34 in fibrin) compared to local autograft for the treatment of Degenerative Disk Disease (DDD).
This is a global, multi-center, prospective, randomized, blinded, controlled pivotal study. Clinical and radiological evaluation will be performed preoperatively and postoperatively up to 24 months; and endpoint success will be determined at 24 months postoperatively. Overall a maximum of 600 subjects will be enrolled and treated. The purpose of the study is to provide safety and effectiveness data of Infuse™ in A Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion (TLIF) procedures and to obtain indication expansion for Infuse™ use in one and two level TLIF procedures.
The aim of this trial is to evaluate if P-15L bone graft (investigational device) is not inferior in effectiveness and safety to local autologous bone (and allograft where necessary) as an extender (control device) when applied in instrumented transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) in subjects with degenerative disc disease (DDD). In addition to the general overall objective, a sub-group analysis will be performed on the high-risk subject population (tobacco use, obesity, diabetes), as previous studies have shown negative effects of smoking, obesity and diabetes on fusion and bone healing, increased peri/postoperative complications, and lower patient-reported outcome scores.
The purpose of this project is to study the effects of preoperative followed by scheduled intravenous acetaminophen on pain control for 24 hours postoperatively after minimally invasive 1 or 2 level transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion.
This investigation will provide safety and effectiveness information on the use of INFUSE® Bone Graft with the CAPSTONE® Spinal System and CD HORIZON® Spinal System with a Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion (TLIF) surgical approach at one or two adjacent levels from L2-S1 to treat subjects with advanced degenerative disease of the lumbosacral spine.
The purpose of this study is to utilize Trinity Evolution in conjunction with an interbody spacer and supplemental posterior fixation of the surgeon's choice and to follow the patients to measure the clinical outcomes and rate of fusion. The hypothesis of the study is that Trinity Evolution combined with an interbody spacer and supplemental posterior fixation will result in fusion rates and clinical outcomes similar to those with other routinely used autograft and allograft materials including: fusion, improvement in pain and function, maintenance of lower extremity neurological function, and absence of serious adverse events related to the use of the Trinity Evolution product.
This study is being conducted to determine the percentage of patients with solid spinal fusions after being treated with Osteocel Plus in a TLIF procedure. Due to the unique processing conditions, Osteocel Plus retains a high concentration of stem cells in conjunction with the allograft bone matrix, so it is hypothesized that the fusion rate with Osteocel Plus will be comparable to published data for autograft. The Osteocel product family has already been used in approximately 15,000 cases worldwide.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the differences (the effectiveness and the safety) between two different nerve and muscle monitoring devices currently available during a TLIF surgery. The Endoscopic Assisted Retropsoas (EARP) Nerve Cuff Electrode and Retractor surgical and nerve monitoring tools will be used in addition to standard nerve monitoring tools during the surgery. The choice of standard nerve monitoring equipment is based on the decision of the surgeon and technologist and is not dictated by this study. These tools will be compared with regards to safety and ability to accurately monitor the nervous system during the surgery.
To determine if indwelling Foley placement at the onset of the procedure, straight catherization at the conclusion of the procedure, or no catheterization produces the lowest rates of postoperative urinary retention after transforaminal lumbar interbody fusions (TLIFs).
This is a prospective, randomized controlled trial of patients undergoing minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion. This study will randomize patients into one of two groups: erector spinae plane (ESP) block and no ESP block.
This study is designed to collect real world evidence (RWE) safety and efficacy data on patients who plan to undergo a single-level Transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) or Posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF) instrumented with pedicle screws, using the framework of a prospective clinical study (with defined enrollment criteria and pre-specified research follow-up timepoints).
Tranexamic acid and placebo will be given during surgery to patients who have elected to undergo lumber interbody fusion on 2 or more levels. Information regarding blood loss, transfusions needed, postoperative cognitive status (including delirium), postoperative markers of systemic inflammation and duration of hospital stay will be collected.
Assess clinical and radiographic outcomes in patients who undergo 1-3 level anterior cervical discectomy fusion (ACDF) or lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF, PLIF, ALIF, or LLIF) using ViBone.
The purpose of the study is to prospectively measure pain, function, and patient satisfaction in 70 consecutive patients treated by lumbar fusion using the Triad allograft. Results of the Triad allograft will be compared to those of other anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF), transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF), and posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF) surgeries. Patient participation is based on the physician determination that the patient requires one of these surgeries. Participants will be evaluated pre-operatively and post-operatively at 3, 6, 12,and 24 month intervals. Clinic procedures will be related to standard of care except for the completion of several study questionnaires: 1. Back Pain Questionnaire; 2. Oswestry Disability Index Questionnaire; 3. Short Form-36 (SF-36) Survey; 4. Visual Analog Pain Scale (VAS); and 5. The Modems Patient Satisfaction Survey. Outcome Measurements: 1. The patient's pain is scored by a VAS normalized to 100; 2. Patient function is based on Oswestry scores; 3. General health is assessed by SF-36 completion; and 4. Overall patient satisfaction will be determined by the completion of the Modems.
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of PureGen Osteoprogenitor Cell Allograft in patients undergoing Posterior Lumbar or Transforaminal Interbody Fusion.
This study is designed to evaluate clinical outcomes and spine fusion rates for patients undergoing transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion using the CONDUIT 3D printed titanium TLIF cage.
The objective of this single site, randomized controlled trial is to assess and compare radiographic and clinical outcomes in patients who are to undergo lumbar interbody fusion procedures (TLIF), supplemented with pedicle screw instrumentation, using one of the following interventions: 1. Porous titanium cages 2. Non-porous titanium-coated poly-ether-ether-ketone (PEEK) cages.
