3 Clinical Trials for Various Conditions
We will study 40 matched patients. 20 patients will receive leukoreduced whole blood from the solid organ donor. These 20 patients will be compared to 20 historical matched controls with regards to allogenic blood product usage and other physiologic markers
The Purpose of the study is to test the hypothesis that administration of an S-nitrosylating (SNO) agent can improve tissue oxygenation during transfusion of packed red blood cells (RBCs).
This study is designed to determine if point-of-care washing of allogeneic Leukocyte-Reduced Red Blood Cells reduces pulmonary complications when compared to standard-of-care Leukocyte-Reduced Red Blood Cells in a cardiac surgical population.
