FLUME Catheter Comfort Study
Description

The Flume catheter is a commercially available (FDA 510(k) cleared) urethral catheter with an innovative catheter design. The traditional Foley catheter design includes a protruding tip with drainage holes. The protruding tip may contribute to patient discomfort, pain and bladder spasms. The Flume catheter is designed such that the balloon envelops the tip on inflation, thus eliminating the protruding catheter tip, while the drainage holes are inset low in the balloon, providing protection to the bladder lining. Based on the change in design, the hypothesis of this observational cohort study is the Flume catheter will have better patient comfort scores (using validated patient reported outcomes measures) when compared to a traditional catheter.

Evaluating SUI-100™, A Non-Invasive Device for the Treatment of Stress Urinary Incontinence
Description

The goal of this pivotal clinical trial is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the SUI-100 device for the treatment of mild-to-moderate stress urinary incontinence (SUI) in females aged 22-70 years. The main questions this study aims to answer are: 1. Does treatment with the SUI-100 device reduce SUI symptoms, as measured by urine leakage. 2. Is the device safe and effective compared to the sham group? Participants will: 1. Be randomly assigned to an active or sham control group in a blinded, multicenter study. 2. Attend treatment visits during the Treatment Phase, with SUI assessments conducted at specific intervals. 3. Enter a 3-month, treatment-free follow-up phase, with SUI assessment. 4. Proceed to three monthly maintenance treatments, followed by a final SUI assessment at study exit. The total study duration will last approximately 18 months, with each individual's participation lasting approximately 6-8 months. This study aims to provide robust data on the effectiveness, safety, and durability of the SUI-100 device for treating female Stress Urinary Incontinence.

BTL Emsella Chair Versus Sham for the Treatment of Stress Urinary Incontinence
Description

Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is a condition that affects both men and women. SUI is the involuntary leakage of urine caused by an increase in intra-abdominal pressure from activities such as exercise, coughing, laughing, or sneezing. It can significantly affect quality of life as patients avoid activities or behaviors that cause leakage. This clinical trial will compare the efficacy of the Emsella chair to sham and determine if electromagnetic technology is effective in the treatment of SUI.

Translating Unique Learning for Incontinence Prevention
Description

More than one in three US women suffers from the distressing, embarrassing, and often unreported problem of urinary incontinence (UI). UI severity increases with age and the financial cost exceeds $19 billion per year . The Adult Conservative Management Committee of the 2008 International Consultation on Incontinence concluded that pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT) should be offered as first line therapy to all women with stress, urge, or mixed UI; and that bladder training (BT) may be preferred to drug therapy. Conservative strategies are low risk and differ from other forms of UI management in that they do not prejudice future treatments. They also may decrease symptoms of urgency and frequency that do not entail UI, but greatly reduce the quality of life for nearly 1 in 11 US women.

A Clinical Study in Patients With Overactive Bladder With Leakage of Urine, to Find Out if the Medicine, Fesoterodine, Works in Those Patients Who Did Not Have Enough Response to the Medicine, Tolterodine.
Description

Patients with overactive bladder are often treated with tolterodine, a medication that helps relax the bladder, helping symptoms of urinary incontinence and urinary frequency. Sometimes patients do not have a satisfactory response, and may benefit from trying an alternative oral medicine. Fesoterodine is related to tolterodine by producing the same active substance that acts on the bladder, but potentially at higher and more effective levels. So, a patient who has a poor response to tolterodine may still obtain a good response to fesoterodine. This study will help find out if this is what happens.
