3 Clinical Trials for Various Conditions
The regulation of total body water that defines human hydration status is a complex and dynamic process. Current methods of assessing hydration status (e.g. hematologic and urinary analyses) lack the ability to track changes in hydration status in real-time due to whole-body homeostatic physiologic processes required to maintain central pressure and cardiovascular function. This project will address this problem by assessing the relationship between autonomic function (measured using heart rate variability), a brain-derived process that regulates cardiovascular function, and changes in the hydration-mediated hormone vasopressin.
The aim of this study is to utilize lung ultrasound to detect the development of extravascular lung water in patients undergoing clinically indicated invasive hemodynamic exercise stress testing for symptomatic shortness of breath. The study will correlate the lung ultrasound findings with cardiac hemodynamics and measurements of extravascular lung water in an effort to better understand the pathophysiology of exertional dyspnea.
This study will explore the use of Cereset Research for symptoms associated with refractory chronic nausea in patients with gastroparesis (GP) in a randomized, clinical trial.
