The survey will help investigators learn everything about how people view and respond to trauma from a holistic perspective through body (nutrition), mind (mental health rejuvenation and renewal), and spirit (faith-based) lens. Researchers aim to evaluate if such practices will be effective in helping participants with significant life challenges due to trauma, negative life events, or extremely stressful events will recover from these types of lifestyles. The responses will be used to shape the integrative protocols that the investigators develop for professionals involved with trauma clients. This can help increase recovery rates and lead to productive lives.
The overarching purpose of this study is to assess whether patients will use the app throughout treatment on a regular basis, as the ultimate goal is to provide an educational platform that can impact patient behaviors and understanding towards health.
This project will compare medical nutrition therapy personalized by continuous glucose monitor (CGM) feedback to control interventions in participants with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
The goal of this study is to understand the best practices for implementing produce prescriptions among adults with overweight or obesity experiencing nutrition insecurity. Enrolled participants will receive an 8-week intervention aimed at increasing nutrition knowledge, self-efficacy for healthy eating, and barriers to healthy food access. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two produce prescription implementation strategies: Program 1: Participants will receive weekly produce vouchers that are redeemable at a local vendor. Program 2. Participants will receive fresh produce delivered directly to the participant's home. These boxes will be tailored based on household size, cooking and preparation preferences, and produce the participant prefers to receive. Researchers will compare engagement in and adherence to the intervention and the patterns of difference in 8-week changes in fruit and vegetable consumption and weight.
The goal of this observational research study is to determine how diet contributes to various gastrointestinal related conditions. The main question investigators aim to answer is: Are host genetics, diet, and microbiome all important determinants of GI disorders, and how their relative contribution varies among individuals and populations.
The purpose of this research study is to investigate the effects of a combination of weekly distribution of healthy foods and intensive nutrition counseling as complementary therapies to the standard insulin therapy in children with new diagnosis of stage 3 type 1 diabetes (T1D). Feasibility, acceptability, and fidelity of this intervention will be measured. We will also explore the likelihood of prolonging the honeymoon phase of T1D in the intervention study group. Comparisons will be made between this combined nutrition intervention and free healthy foods vs. current standard nutrition counseling. Both study groups will receive standard of care treatment for T1D (insulin therapy). The results of this study could inform future research that will ultimately lead to design of a larger clinical trial testing implementation of novel medical nutrition therapies for children newly diagnosed with stage 3 of T1D, and may lead to prolongation of the honeymoon phase. The overall goal is to promote the beta cell function survival and to reduce the progression to stage 4 of T1D. This clinical trial studies whether the use of a grocery delivery service (Instacart) and nutrition navigation improves food insecurity in cancer survivors. The American Cancer Society recommends a normal body mass index, regular physical activity, and a healthy diet for cancer patients. Following these guidelines may help prevent deaths among cancer patients, but few cancer patients follow them. One reason for not following the guidelines could be due to the lack of consistent access to sufficient quantities of affordable, nutritious food for an active, healthy life (food insecurity). Instacart provides users access to foods that fall under the nutrition plan for cancer survivors that can be purchased and delivered to the user's home from many different grocery stores. Nutrition navigation provides support to cancer survivors via weekly check ins to help with following nutrition guidelines and assist with ordering groceries on the Instacart platform. Using a grocery delivery service, such as Instacart, and nutrition navigation may help improve food insecurity in cancer survivors.

The purpose of this research study is to conduct a pilot trial using an app-based approach to improve the health and performance of female collegiate soccer athletes through nutrition education and personalized feedback. The app-based program is designed to promote better performance through education on sport-specific fueling and good nutrition practices.
The Mindfulness, Nutrition and Exercise to Optimize Resilience (MENTOR) program is offered through the National Center on Health, Physical Activity and Disability (NCHPAD). NCHPAD is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is a public health practice that offers health promotion programs and resources to people with mobility disabilities. The purpose of this project is to provide a free-of-charge wellness program designed to improve health and wellness for people with mobility and physical disability living in the United States.
