This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The main aim of the study is to discover the mechanisms underlying the pathophysiology of NAFLD in obese youth.

Participation Criteria

Researchers look for people who fit a certain description, called eligibility criteria. Some examples of these criteria are a person's general health condition or prior treatments.

Sexes Eligible for Study:ALL

Standard Ages:CHILD, ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * Good general health, taking no medication on a chronic basis;
  2. * age 12 to 18 years, in puberty (girls and boys: Tanner stage II-V);
  3. * BMI \>85th for obese cohort;
  1. * Baseline creatinine \>1.0 mg; pregnancy;
  2. * the presence of endocrinopathies (e.g. Cushing syndrome);
  3. * cardiac or pulmonary or other significant chronic illness;
  4. * adolescents with a psychiatric disorder or with substance abuse;
  5. * monogenic obesity syndromes;
  6. * use of drugs affecting intrahepatic fat content (e.g.; liraglutide, fish oil, etc.).
