Study Overview

This clinical trial focuses on testing the efficacy of different digital interventions to promote re-engagement in cancer-related long-term follow-up care for adolescent and young adult (AYA) survivors of childhood cancer.

Description

The purpose of this investigation is to examine the mechanisms mediating vascular dysfunction in women who have had gestational diabetes and how metformin may be a valuable treatment tool to improve microvascular function in these women before the onset of disease.

Participation Criteria

Standard Ages:ADULT
Inclusion CriteriaExclusion Criteria
  1. * ≥12 weeks and ≤5 years postpartum
  2. * history of GDM or healthy pregnancy
  1. * prediabetes or diabetes (HbA1c ≥5.7%)
  2. * current tobacco use
  3. * cardiovascular or metabolic disease
  4. * cardiovascular or metabolic medication
  5. * history of hypertension during pregnancy
  6. * current pregnancy
